Unveiling truth

His heart started racing as he realized the identity of the body that he was in.

'If I really am who I think I am, then shit just got serious!!' He thought to himself.

He once again looked at the reflection of his face in the water. He continued gazing at it for some time before he spoke.

"I'm Gildarts…..aren't I?"

"Gildarts Clive from fairy tail....an S ranked wizard who is said to be the strongest in the guild!"

*Sweating!*

"Then the thing that sent me flying....was ACNOLOGIA??" He whimpered in fear.

Lucien started shivering in fear, recognising what had just occurred.

"HOLY SHIT!!"

"Did I just survive that monster??" He questioned incredulously.

"No wait...technically shouldn't it have been Gildarts that survived?"

"But….then why am I the one in his body? Did he perhaps.….die? He mumbled hesitantly.

*Scratch! Scratch!*

"ARGH! I don't know what is happening anymore!!" Lucien grumbled in frustration while scratching his head.

"Haaaa"

'Whatever…..there's no use in overthinking anyway!' He decided.

Just as he was thinking this, he noticed something happening to the lake.

*Swoosh! Whirl!*

The water was moving around uncannily, rising and dropping before they started converging and turning into a whirlpool.

The glow that surrounded the water started increasing until it was shining golden.

It looked as if something was going to emerge from the eye of the whirlpool.

"Shit!!" cursed Lucien as he hurriedly backed away.

After moving back until he felt safe enough, he continued observing.

He decided to stay because he was curious about what was happening.

However, he had made up his mind to escape the instant he senses even a hint of danger.

After a few minutes, there was a change.

The shining lights glowed brightly for an instant before dimming, they then converged before it illuminated brightly one last time.

When the light died out, he saw something floating in the middle of the lake covered in a golden glow.

"Woah…"

*Swoosh*

Suddenly the unknown item flew at incredible speed, instantly reaching before him.

Lucien flinched at the sudden appearance of the thing, before taking a cautious step backwards.

He looked at the glowing thing in hesitation, not knowing what to do.

As if responding to his dilemma, the glowing orb hummed and started dimming, exposing what was inside.

"Wh- WHAT?"

Lucien's surprised voice could be heard as he saw what was inside the glowing orb.

It was a watch, HIS watch!

Lucien stared at the watch, clueless on what was happening.

The watch that was floating around while he stared at it, as if feeling impatient, it suddenly glowed before diving straight at Lucien.

*Swoosh!*

It instantly reached his forehead, before entering his mind and disappearing.

Lucien only saw a glow before his head went blank.

...…

Darkness.

Once again, he was surrounded by the endless void.

He was reminded of the confusing situation that happened before he woke up.

But this time, he had his watch with him.

"What just happened!?" He asked while looking around.

He then turned towards his watch as it was the culprit that brought him here.

He observed it, checking for anything that might tell him where he is and what is happening.

After looking at it for sometime, he decides to touch it, hoping nothing bad happens.

He reaches out and touches the watch's metallic exterior. The instant he touches it, his head gets assaulted with a headache.

He felt something foreign entering and merging with his mind, emotions and memories.

"Argh!…Urgh!" He groans while holding his head.

While he was trying to stay awake with his head pounding in pain, he heard a powerful voice.

The next thing he knows is that the watch that he was holding starts to burn up, glowing red.

It then starts changing, opening up and splitting, it turns into small nano pieces that begin flowing up his arm to his entire body like water.

He feels his entire body being engulfed by it.

*Scorch!*

"Aahhhh!" He screams as he feels a seeing pain in his left arm.

However, before he could understand what was happening.

*BOOM!*

A bright light engulfs him and he blanks out for the 100th time that day.

Near the lake, which had turned back into a normal lake, laid a man.

His rugged and strong body could be seen laying relaxed on the ground, his chest rising and falling periodically.

"Mmmn…" Lucien groaned slightly before waking up.

His eyes fluttered open, slightly unfocused and confused at first before instantly becoming clear and sharp.

He sits up and looks around, before taking a deep breath and letting out a sigh, "Haaa…"

"So that's what had happened…"

"So I got transmigrated as gildarts in Fairy Tail?" He says while ruffling his head.

Fairy Tail, one of the most memorable anime he had watched in the past. He never expected that he would be isekai'ed in it though.

Earthland is a world in the fairy tail universe, it is an enchanting realm where magic reigns supreme and extraordinary adventures unfold at every turn. It is a world where skilled wizards come together to harness their power for various purposes, be it battling dark forces, completing quests, going to adventures or just forming unbreakable bonds.

It is also a dangerous world, where dangerous beasts roam, mystical beings hide, and where world ending entities reside.

And now, he is a part of that world.

Lucien doesn't know what to do now, he feels really conflicted about his situation.

He wondered about the ones he had left behind back in his world, his parents and the few friends that he had.

Well his parents were divorced and do not pay much attention to him now that they have their own families, but at least they did send him money to live while completing his education.

He ruminated for a while, indulging in his emotions before he took a deep breath and made a resolution "Forget it! What has happened is done, there's nothing that can be done!"

"From now onwards I'll live my new life different from before since I don't have any more debts to pay!! After all, there is a whole new world out there for me!"

After making that declaration, he looks down at his body and says "now that's out of the way…..let's see what happened."

From what he understood, a mysterious and powerful being had brought him to this world after he had died. Apparently in this world, gildarts did not survive against Acnologia, therefore he was transmigrated into his body.

In addition, that being had decided to give him a helping hand of sorts. The being merged his soul with that of gildarts, giving him his skills and his magic.

"I wonder what that being wants from me, even though he hadn't said anything." He worriedly says to himself.

"Well! No point in worrying myself over something I can't control anyway!" He replies to himself in relief after some time.

He then looks down at his body and notices the difference.

All the injuries and wounds that he suffered had disappeared. Plus, in the place of his lost arm he found a sleek metallic arm.

"Woah!…"

He tries moving it around and hardly feels any difference, it feels just like his normal arm in fact it feels stronger and better.

"I have a metal arm…." he says in wonder.

"Come to think of it, gildarts also had one but mine's way better!" He says while lovingly caressing it.

After playing around with his metal arm for a while, he puts aside his playfulness and observes.

'It seems like my personality has merged with gildarts, so am I gildarts with lucien's memory or am I lucien with gildarts memory?'

He sits in contemplation for sometime before he slaps his face with both his arms.

*Slap!!*

"OUCH!! That stings!!"

".....…."

He sits in silence for a minute before raising his head up.

"Lucien had died that day....from now on I'm Gildarts Clive of Fairy Tail!" He declared resolutely with determination.
