As he regained consciousness he felt somewhat lost, and confused if so since he expected never to wake up again.

Everything that had happened and even his last moments he remembered vividly.

''Is this the after life?'' Everything around him was hazy, his vision blurred and it was all the more scary, but he could feel sensations from his touch, and a flowery smell permeated where he was.

He rubbed his eyes and looked around, the more he moved his eyes the more his vision clarified. Quickly he found himself in a room, a very simple room quite frugal with the minimum of things, but the scent was very comforting and soothing.

Quickly he clutched his head as he felt a headache memories flooded his head. Everything since birth, everything flooded and was accepted by his brain, or perhaps it was already in the brain his consciousness was just accepting them.

'' Aozaki Jun (1st surname and 2nd Given name), 13 years old. Attending Kibito Academy, currently at the end of 7th grade 1-B. Hmmm, being raised by a single mother Aozaki Ayako, and younger sister Aozaki Hina. As for the father he ran away with another woman a couple of years after Hina had been born. This is why life is like gambling, the father is a piece of shit but the mother is extra gentle, she works overtime most of the time trying to sustain the family. The idiot Jun ate less and less to not place a burden on his mother, and in the end, nutrition deficit and lack of rest since he studied his ass off every day, made him pass out.'' John or Jun now moved his head around and touched his body and no signs of pain. ''I am sad but because of this I have yet another opportunity in life.''

Jun kneeled down and slowly gave a prayer to the passed Jun. He clutched his chest in the heart area, and the heartbeat resounded. ''You wanted to lessen the burden on your mother, I understand but seriously eating less and saying you are full is quite stupid... you would be a bigger burden if you got hospitalized. But don't worry, you are me now, meaning your family is my family now, although I don't know you very well. I'll make their lives 10 no 100 times better. So rest in peace, if you don't want to then watch me.'' A smile surfaced on his face.

Getting up Jun moved the body slightly. It was nighttime so there wasn't much to happen. Jun sat on the bed and stared at the ceiling with a big smile. This was the opportunity he wished. What entity gave him this chance?

He did not know but he was grateful, yes he was in another person's body but he couldn't be picky, could he?

But quickly he calmed himself down. Thinking about the situation in the house was concerning, Jun took notice and the reason why he began to do what he did is because of how weary his mother became over the years. His radiant and always smiling mother was tired and seemingly sad most of the time, worries pilled up on her and it was taking a toll on her.

Jun closed his eyes. What can he do now to lessen her burden? 'Working is out of the question and she would outright refuse, and it wouldn't be a good thing to do. Outside of the house, there is nothing I can do as of now, but I can do things at home. Chores, cooking, and cleaning will be awkward at first so I need to get used to them and take care of Hina, his younger sister. 7 years younger than me.' Drafting his plan quickly Jun nodded, for now, that is what he can do.

''Thankfully the house is hers since it was left by Ayako's passed parents. The house isn't that good but not having to pay rent is already a good start, saving money is possible without giving up on many things.'' Jun continued to analyze.

Jun stared at his skinny arms and sighed. ''It is January and the school year ends in March. So I have 4 months because school starts in April. Oh wait lesser 3 months and some time, I need to get in shape for the next basketball year. This club system they employ here is quite neat.''

Jun felt slightly tired, so he lay on the bed and decided to rest. He didn't sleep for long and naturally woke up 6 hours later, at 6 AM, unfortunately, it was Monday as such he had classes.

As soon as he woke up he went to the bathroom to freshen up. He stared at himself in the mirror. He is handsome, but the sickly look did indeed throw him off, coupled with his unapproachable vibe it isn't surprising there are no friends outside of good morning or hello people. Everyone except for the bastard father shared these similar traits, Platinum silvery hair, which although not tended carefully still had its beauty, and Jun had sharp green eyes, while his mother and younger sister had ocean blue eyes. If he could place into anime characters how he looks, it would be between Undertaker and Kim Okja. Although yet not fully in full glory the features did point to such. Although there still was some work to be done.

Once done, brushing his teeth and gearing up, he went for a run. Cardio right in the morning, gets your day started, it is a good habit to develop. As he ran Jun felt anew, he missed feeling this sensation, a sense of freedom.

While he ran he looked around, and soon he found himself in a park. The town he lives in although barely becoming a city, still retained beautiful hang-out spaces, full of greenery and natural beauty. As he ran he did find 3 other people running.

Once he felt tired he would stop stretch his body, and resume his run. Basketball is a popular sport, coupled with Baseball, volleyball, and such. The world isn't the same from history records and such, the world is bigger with more land, and way more sport-oriented. People did place their attention to these sports and it isn't uncommon for people to speak about hot topics about school leagues.

As such finding courts where people play basketball isn't uncommon, for example, his area had 3 different places where you could play, one of them was between the park and his house.

Mostly it was used by older people, from high school upward. But it is a place he would try to come and play to hone his playstyle. Once his run was over, Jun arrived home and took a hot shower, making him relax his muscles.

All clean and refreshed. He walked down and made breakfast. He didn't think too much, he made scrambled eggs followed by toast, eggs are cheap and nutritious.

For a skinny person like himself, the provided protein would be essential for muscle growth and maintenance. He had read many studies as he was hospitalized, people who have eggs and toast for breakfast report significantly less hunger than those who have other light more normal breakfasts, like cereals and such.

There are many advantages to eating eggs right in the morning. He too cut different fruits lying around in the kitchen and made 3 different fruit salads, which would be eaten throughout the day.

As for the lunch break meals they were leftovers from the previous day, he made sure everything was packed. Once he finished a white silver-haired woman walked down the stairs with a sleepy face.

Once the woman saw the already-ready Jun with an apron on and the food on the table she paused. Her eyes suspiciously looked at Jun's eyes, her blue eyes inspected her son. ''Jun are you okay?''

''I am why?'' Jun answered lifting his eyebrows in amusement.

''Well look'' She pointed at the table. ''This is new, not that I mind.'' A smile surfaced on her face.

''To be honest, I have thought about doing this for some time, I want to help you as much as I can,'' Jun answered as he avoided eye contact, quickly he felt himself being embraced. The flowery scent permeated his nose, she smelled very nice.

His body reflexively relaxed and he just let go of everything, it was magical, he had never felt this before.

''My Jun is all grown up.'' She said as she stroked his head. ''I am proud of you baby. Very proud.'' She was holding her tears back it was quite obvious from her shaky voice.

''M...'' Jun paused as he tightened his grip on her shirt, he closed his eyes. ''M-Mom don't worry, you can count on me you don't need to bear everything yourself, let us help you too.''

His words made his mother tear up, she tightened her embrace, and the crying kept for quite a while, and Jun's heart hurt listening. Only she knew how much she had been suffering, she didn't even have time to reflect, forget about everything and just have time for herself. Silently suffering and burying herself in her work while having to take care of two kids alone. She was a heroine in her own way. Jun respects her because she refuses to abandon her kids and keeps fighting for them.
