106 It Has Begun

Lianne awoke suddenly, feeling disoriented for a moment while she looked at the darkness around her. Slowly, as her consciousness came back, her grumbling stomach told her that she had missed dinner.

Dinner?

Clapping once, the lights switched on.

She had fallen asleep when it was still bright, thus, the lights had not been on. Taking her phone that had fallen to the floor, she noted the time and frowned. There were no missed calls or messages.

It was 1am.

Disappointment filled her heart, and Lianne gave a loud sigh as she got up. Resentment and a little bit of anger was evident in the way she looked as she stomped to the kitchen.

While she knew that he had said he would be busy the following week, she didn't think he would not even call her. Or at the very least, texted.

Her hands stilled as she reached for the pan.

That's right.

He would definitely have called her or texted.

Did something happen?

Lianne immediately dialed Kai's number and waited.
