29 CHAPTER 29: BIRTHDAY BANQUET 2

Sarah was dressed in a pink outfit with baby blue flowers in place. She could easily pull off any color when it came to outfits because of her skin tone, and she didn't have to worry about not looking pretty after wearing something.

The veil was obviously matching the veil, which was embellished with exquisite floral embroidery. Her long hair was adorned with pink and blue ornaments that flowed along with it because she didn't wear it in a bun this time.

She was wearing blue small diamond studs that literally lined up on her right ear because she has three ear piercings on each ear. On the left side of her ear, she wore a large ornamental flower earring that covered the majority of the ear.

She didn't wear a pendant or necklace because she didn't want to overpower her upper body. She wore a bracelet that matched her anklet, which was visible to all because she was wearing sandals rather than high heels or closed shoes.

Sarah took it upon herself to start wearing clothing that went well with open shoes when she received the system, and because she loves her skin and body so much, she didn't mind showing it off.

Sia, on the other hand, convinced the young lady to dress in a more vibrant style that would make her more friendly and approachable. She was dressed in a red gown with a long tail adorned with glittering gems and crystals.

The number of gems on that dress was simply overwhelming, and one can only imagine how much money was spent on that dress alone.

The gown was paired with silver shoes with sparkling heels and the same gems as the gown. In terms of jewelry, she was wearing drop diamond earrings that matched her necklace, which also had some red gems.

It was a beautiful scene to see the beautiful Sia with the cold man by her side dressed in a black customized suit.

It didn't take long for the host to rush out of the villa to greet them; in fact, they were greeting Sia's fiancé, who had surprised them with his unexpected visit because he wasn't supposed to be there.

Despite her dislike for Sia's childish fiancé, Sarah reaped the benefits of being associated with him and was well treated.

Sarah became bored after a while of chatting, and given that the banquet was for an elderly person, one can imagine how crazy the place was.

Fortunately for her, she did not suffer greatly; she gave her a gift that was both inexpensive and practical before going outside for some fresh air.

'It's a shame I didn't see a familiar face here!'

It was both a disappointment and a relief to her. She wouldn't know what to do if she ran into someone from her past.

As she stood in the lovely garden, admiring the starry night and the cool breeze that was practically begging for rain.

"What is my lovely mistress doing here by herself?" She was about to pounce on the owner when she heard a familiar voice behind her.

She didn't look behind her because she wanted to see what the mischievous young man was up to.

"It's not like I'm barred from going anywhere. What are you doing here?" Sarah queried, a smile on her face.

"You smell so good every time," the young man said as he wrapped his arms around Sarah's tiny waist and buried his face in the crook of her neck, sniffing her as if he were a dog, "Oh, how I miss you!"

"Didn't we just part ways in the morning?" Sarah asked, placing her small hands over the young man's.

Meleek rubbed his face against her neck and grumbled, "you left while I was still sleeping. I might not have seen you again if I hadn't known you were attending this banquet."

"Dear, when one has a one-night stand, they don't even bid their farewell or hope to meet each other again," Sarah said, speechless.

"I understand, but you are unique. I never imagined meeting someone like you who knows how to bring out the deepest and darkest sides of myself and make me feel normal. You can't possibly be planning to leave me after all that, can you?" Meleek asked solemnly.

Sarah could tell the young man was about to lose his cool, and she was enjoying it.

She never expected to meet someone like Meleek on her one-week trip and to have so many doors open for her. She had a great time last night and went even wilder than when she was with O'Neal, but some things didn't need to be rushed.

Meleek was the type of man that gets interested in things, chases them, gets them and when he gets enough, he will then ditch them for the next thing.

She desired long-term benefits, not just short-term ones. She wanted the men she chooses to be willing to be with her and to remain with her no matter what happens in the future.

She wanted them to understand that she will never be able to be with just one of them. It may not be equally distributed, but it will be equitable for all. She doubted Meleek would accept that given his personality.

That's why she wasn't going to accept anything and leave him in the dark right now. If he finds someone else, it will be her loss, but after what happened last night, she doubted that would be the case.

Before Sarah could respond to Meleek, the two were interrupted by Sia, who had come to summon her inside because someone wanted to speak with her.

Sia was devastated when she saw the devil she didn't want to see. Were these two so close that they were acting so intimate even when they were outside?

Meleek glared angrily at Sia, who was always trying to interrupt him at the most inconvenient times. Knowing this, Sarah pacified the little devil with a kiss on the cheek before accompanying Sia inside.

Meleek, who had not received what he had come for, was clearly upset, and having another person interrupt him while plotting how to bring Sarah to Fresea made matters worse.
