His physique echoed the strength of his father, a knight, yet it was his mother's features that painted the canvas of his looks.
"No matter how much I gaze upon myself, it's never enough," Jake mumbled, running a brush through his dark locks.

"hmm I don't remember cube interaction since I got it, so why now?" Jake asked as in his 5 years of life Cube never talked with him much less having an in intervention from it.

"well fair enough, I agree, as the saying goes 'Hard work only makes you better'" Jake nodded and accepted the cube challenge.

"Authority? So it's really a cube thingy. No wonder I never learned about it in the library books," Jake nodded, now understanding the origin of this Authority.
Nexus nodded in agreement, [The cube has numerous Authorities. You can think of them as powerful growth-type skills. They start from Level 1 and can go up to the maximum level of their limit.]
[There are many kinds, and they are also divided by ranks. Simply put, they are: Lower, Greater, Ultimate, and Supreme Authorities.]
[Right now, you have already unlocked a single Authority—the Authority of Information. You were supposed to obtain a single Authority while being unawakened, but now you can choose one more.]
Jake, intrigued by the concept of Authorities, proceeded to check the information about the Information Authority.
[Authority of Information: Akashic : This Authority was the first to unlock due to the Host's desire to have information about anything he laid his eyes upon.]
Akashic (Level 1): At the first level, it allows the user to use 'Eyes of Akashic.'
~Eyes of Akashic: Tells the history and all related knowledge of anything the Host wishes to.
Restriction: The Host can see the complete information of anything with only a 5-level gap.
The amount of information will decrease as the level gap increases between the Host and the Target.]
"Now, that's what I was talking about," Jake nodded, delighted with having Akashic as his first Authority, as even with restriction it's powerful.
[Now that you have seen it, would you like to choose your second Authority?] Nexus asked after Jake finished learning all the information
"is there any benefit if I acquire them before my core awakening?" Jake asked as today is the day he will awaken his core.
The process of core awakening in Celestria was a rite of passage for its inhabitants. At the age of six, individuals experienced the initiation into the world of magic through the ceremony of awakening. A mystical orb, known as the Awakening Orb, gathered the latent energies within the body to a single point, forming a core. However, this process wasn't without its challenges.
The awakened core, at its inception, bore the mark of impurities, causing it to manifest in a shade of deep black. Recognizing the need for refinement, initial awakeners, commonly referred to as Novices, embarked on a journey to purify their cores. For the next six years, they dedicated themselves to the arduous task of refining and cleansing their cores, a process that involved various magical exercises, meditations, and exposure to the potent energies of Celestria.
By the age of twelve, this refining process reached its natural conclusion. After this point, further purification became an immensely challenging task, bordering on the impossible. The cores, though more refined than their initial state, retained traces of impurities, represented by the lingering darkness within. The blackened core, however, did not signify weakness but rather the inherent struggle every individual faced in their journey toward magical mastery.
Understanding the importance of refinement, Novices—those who had recently awakened their cores—dedicated the following six years to the purification process. The goal was to transform the initial blackened core into a spectrum of colors, adhering to the order of ROYGBIV: Red, Orange, Yellow, Green, Blue, Indigo, and Violet. The ultimate achievement is a pristine white core, representing the epitome of purity and mastery over one's magical essence.
The refined cores were categorized based on their color and purity levels:
1. Lower Core: Black - Red
2. Medium Core: Orange - Yellow
3. High Core: Green - Blue
4. Excellent Core: Indigo - Violet
5. Perfect Core: White
The rarity and power of a awakener were often gauged by the color and quality of their refined core. Those with Perfect Cores were revered as legendary figures, possessing unparalleled ptential talent over the magical energies of Celestria, but it is close to impossible to reach White level unless you are reincarnation of Supreme powerhouse, The last White core means 100% Purity which is impossible to achieve unless one also purify their whole body. There are also Legendary and Mythical objects in the world which can aid in this process but finding them is also very hard.
