17 17. Shadow veil slash

Silas knocked on the bar of the cell beside his and then he tried to open the sliding bar gates.

"What is it?" Silas heard a hoarse voice Cole from the cell beside him.

"I'm new here, when do they allow us out of the cells?" Silas asked and then the other person didn't reply.

"Hel--"

"5pm to 6:30pm." The person replied before Silas could shout out.

'This prison is weird, but since the doors only open by 5, I should be able to monitor the time and come back quickly.' Silas thought as he laid down on the bed and put on the helmet.

He couldn't possibly leave himself wide open in the real world, in a place filled with dangerous people.

The premises of the corridor was very desolate, neat and well kept, Silas was confused as this wasn't how he envisioned a prison to be.

He looked at his body to see himself shirtless and then he frowned as he saw bandages wrapped around his body.

'That's right, I was shot a couple of times.' Silas realized and then he sighed as he laid back on his bed to log into the game again, to continue gaming.

...

I'm a wondrous forest which had multiple beast roaring from all directions, Silas appeared close to the edge, and then he looked around.

"Back at the forest, now where's the kingdom." Silas remembered his goal and then he saw a beast running towards him, swinging from the trees.

Silas sighed tiredly as he looked at the storage ring and then a light shot out and a sword formed in his hand. It was a straight sword with a black blade, looking like there was a galaxy of different colours of stars within.

'This could be a chance to test it.' Silas thought as he summoned the sheath and strapped it on his waist.

The ape creature which was over 300 metres away was now closing in on Silas, already 50 metres away from him.

Silas focused the chi in his legs, eyes, arms, ears, and nose as he dashed forward towards the ape leaving a golden trail behind.

The ape had brown skin with some glowing lines on it's body and then it was the size of a regular gorilla.

It jumped forward, towards Silas who was also coming towards it.

'Shadow veil slash.'

Silas thought of the name and he remembered the dark art clearly in his head and he suddenly vanished, shocking the ape.

Meanwhile, a shadow which was on the ground moved at the same speed towards the ape and then the ape's right arm was suddenly decapitated and then it roared out loud in pain and it spun it's second arm around.

Silas backed up and then he was now visible. He has a confused look on his face however.

'It didn't work, or was I not close enough.' He thought before charging towards the creature all over again.

'SShadow veil slash.'

The gorilla waved it's fist to hit Silas and suddenly, Silas vanished and then the creature missed, making it shocked again.

Before it could move an inch it was suddenly cut into two from it's waist and Silas appeared ten metres ahead, stopping with his shoes as he slid and walked back to the dead creature.

'Its quite strong. Should be a spirit knight.' Silas thought as he sighed.

'The hierarchy of power in this world is so confusing sometimes.' he smiled bitterly.

According to Juliet, the cultivators in this lowest heaven rank theirselves' strength depending on their cultivation level.

The levels for cultivators are Spirit Qi awakening stage, Spirit intern stage, Spirit knight stage, Spirit duke stage, and Spirit king stage.

Silas was currently at the level of a Chi master which is the same level of power as a spirit knight. But added with the inherited items and techniques, he could fight a cultivator which is a level higher than him.

Silas walked towards the dead creature and then he put his hand over it.

Golden particles began to leave it's body and enter into Silas' hand and then the corpse began to wither and dry, turning into a black, dry corpse.

[You have harvested 1230 points of chi.]

Silas looked at his hand with a nonchalant expression and then he smirked mildly.

'I can also take the life energy away from creatures.' He thought as he nodded.

Silas then looked at the sword in his hand. The blade was beautiful and looked very delicate. The twinkling lights within made it seem as if there was a whole galaxy inside.

[Item: Abyssal Reckoner]

[Rank: Immortal]

[Announcement pending...]

Silas raised a brow as he saw the last sentence and then he looked at the forest around him and the cold wind blowing passed his face.

He put his hand in his pocket and brought out a circular compass which pointed in a direction and Silas looked over.

[Item: Connection compass.]

[Grade: Sacred]

[Announcement pending...]

'Even if the descriptions were hidden, with Juliet by my side, I already know what it does.' Silas smiled and then he walked towards the pointed direction.

*DING!!!*

Silas stopped and looked up as he heard the loud sound and then he saw a giant announcement and then he frowned as he saw his name on it.

[Player Silas, is the first player to ever get an immortal grade weapon.]

[Player Silas, is the first player to get a sacred grade item.]

"Could be that I had to come back before they announced it." Silas mumbled and then he walked in the direction pointed by the compass and he soon emerged from the forest to see a wide, clear land and a straight path leading to a kingdom not so far away.

"Master! Master!"

Silas turned around as he heard Juliet's happy voice and he patted her head.

"I found the city without the compass." Juliet smiled and Silas nodded and they both began to walk towards this new kingdom, Avalon.

...

Meanwhile, in the Jade empire there was an uproar within as all the players complained.

They haven't heard of a player who is named Silas and now, all of a sudden, he's getting multiple treasures with little to no time in between.

He was labelled as a cheater.
