When Kiara felt the lustful gaze on her, coming from Alberto she made a disgusted expression and went behind me.

As I was about to burn him ..a little.

Alberto felt someone dangerous standing behind him. As he turned around he saw his, so called minions, on the floor trembling, all looking at the same exact place were the all known Wind demon was staring at Alberto with a gaze that could definetly burn a hole in someone's soul if she stared long enough.

"YOU AGAIN!" Alberto suddenly shouted at Sonya, after looking at her body which was hard not to look at, but he didn't dare linger on his lustful thoughts after he had learned yesterday who that same woman actually is.

"If I still see you here in 5 seconds, I can guarantee that nobody will ever see you again after that. And your father ain't going to do shit about that, because you will have lost your life a long time before William ever knows what happened" Sonya closed her eyes.

"Tsk, let's get out of here boys" Alberto started to run away with the others, but he couldn't help himself not saying, "bitch" before running away.

After 5 seconds Sonya opened her eyes that seemed kind of tired. Alberto was long gone.

"You wouldn't really kill him now would you Sonya?" Kiara asked her after going out of her newfound hideout, which was behind my back.

"Even though I am not scared of William, there is no real reason to create unnecessary problems. I just wanted to scare him a little bit." Sonya replied with a neutral expression.

"..defeated someone with just a few sentences.. sick!" I looked at Sonya with a face full of praise, though she couldn't see it.

After glancing at me for a few seconds, Sonya asked, "Princess, why aren't you in the palace, I understand you sometimes going out, but I see you out all the time these days. I don't think this boy is giving your highness a very good example."

"Firstly, I have already told you to call me by my name many times, and secondly, even if it were true, it's not him that is following me around its me who finds him a bit interesting, he seems so lonely, I can't just leave him all alone now can I" Kiara rolled her eyes.

"Prin-... Kiara, you should firstly remember that you are a princess and should act like one. What if someone saw you like this, the rumours would be unbearable, and what if your brother's learns of... this" Sonya looked at me.

Kiara, too, looked at me and then said to Sonya, "What of them? It's not their damn business what I do and what I don't do, and not a lot of people know that there is a princess, not to mention how she even looks."

sigh.

The only thing Sonya could do was just sigh and walk away.

"So? You going in or not?" Kiara asked me.

I answered by following her.

"So.. commissions huh? You can now accept C rank and B rank commissions, even though there isn't a lot of them, there is a few" She then said.

After checking them out we found the perfect commission, for me at least.

"Explore and collect information about the abandoned Temple of the Demon Possessing Cult… you sure about this Kiran?" Kiara asked him worriedly, "Even though the cult was destroyed a long time ago, it's still dangerous, and I have already heard about this commission, at first it was a C Rank, but then after a lot of failures went up to Rank B, and I thing it's about to go up to Rank A, because after so much time nobody was successful. And the ones higher in Rank don't bother with a quest such as this, moreover you have to travel for a week only to reach there, it might take one a full month to complete it, if a problem doesn't pop out."

"I am doing this. Don't ask why" I thought of the possibilities for me to grow stronger, if I were to accept this commission.

"You really are crazy aren't you?" Kiara sighed

I said nothing and went to the reception to accept the commission.

The receptionists eyes grew wide "Are you sure you want to accept this? know that there is no one who returned from there yet.."

"I am sure" I answered the receptionist, who was an old man.

"If you say so" The old man shook his head, 'The young ones these days don't know what's good for them..'

I went out and Kiara followed behind me, eyes sparkling, seemingly waiting to have an adventure.

We decided not to buy any animals used for traveling and wanted to go by foot.

We went out of the capital after showing the commission and our licenses to the guards at the city walls.

We traveled west from the capital through a vast plain land and could see forests far away that we should reach in a couple of days.

After a bit over a week of traveling we finally reached the Temple of the Demon Possessing Cult. In that week we were attacked by a few little beasts in the vast plains that were killed by Kiara and cores were then quickly absorbed by her after she meditated and cultivated them into her, while I stood guard. After a few days she ascended to higher 2nd Order with her Pure Aqua Element.

Earlier she didn't really care about ascending her cores. She only cared about her skills that she always tried to get better at and create new ones.

But after seeing Kiran grow so quickly and even surpassing her, her competitive spirit, that never showed up before, appeared and Kiara tried to catch up to Kiran as fast as possible, before he grows even more.

It was childish of her, and she knew that, but she couldn't help herself from doing that.

In the forest that they reached, they were attacked by a huge number of beasts, while Kiara didn't have the time to absorb, by cultivating, the cores of the beasts she had killed and stored them away in her pouches, Kiran on the other hand absorbed their cores and bodies growing stronger and getting stats and skills from them.

The beasts were luckily just lower 2nd Order at maximum, so it wasn't that hard to fight off a huge amount of them.

The thing that Kiran found out, was that the cores absorbed by him could raise some of his stats depending on the creature the core belonged to, and also bringing him closer, but also nowhere close to 3rd Order. But he still ascended the other elements quite a bit, also gaining more stats.

Not to mention the skills he got from them and also, while using all of his elements, leveled up the already existing ones.
