Wind Demon

Kiara and I searched for the receptionist, who was the witness to the fight of a former D rank and a B rank.

"Kiara." suddenly we both heard someone with a familiar voice call out.

When we both looked at the direction from where we heard the voice, we saw a woman looking at Kiara with a warm smile, but when she saw us still holding hands, she glared at me with a bit of surprise...though her eyes were cold as ice, it was as if there was no real emotion present.

"Sonya!" Kiara ran into the woman's arms to give her a hug.

Sonya looked around, and seeing nobody else there except us three, she caught Kiara in her embrace. "hey, little girl, I am happy to see you again too but...." Sonya looked at me. "Care to explain?"

"What do you mean?" Kiara lifted her head towards Sonya's face and looked at her confused.

Kiara was a few inches shorter than Sonya, but Sonya looked even taller than Kiara than she actually is, the reason to it being that she wore some Japanese looking wooden slippers of some sort which were also, unsurprisingly blue.

"Since when did you have a man? I thought you weren't interested in any, or is it that this... boy, is something special compared to others? At first, I thought you said that you are his woman because of that Derivian brat, but now seeing you two holding hands... I am not so sure anymore .."

"I.. uh... I..." Kiara stuttered being interrogated by her only female friend. Even though she had nothing to hide from her, she still didn't know how to explain the situation to Sonya.

"Yeh, anyways, y'all can chitchat later, but.. what about my license?" I suddenly interrupted the so called interrogation.

"And now he is rude... Listen you brat, I don't know what you did to deserve Kiaras attention, but you better be more humble before me, don't think that you are something special" Sonya nearly roared at me.

"..License?" I asked again ignoring her bullshit.

"YOU... follow me" Sonya gave up midway when she saw Kiaras nearly red face because of anger.

"Guys... did you just see and hear the same thing as me,... or am I blind and deaf.."The first guy from the shadows asked his teammates.

"I am afraid we also saw and heard the same thing" Both the second and third guys said in sinc.

"HOW THE HELL IS HIS HEAD STILL IN PLACE?! SHE EVEN DARED TO GO AGAINST US WHEN WE WRONGED HER A BIT, BUT HE TURNED OUT UNSCATHED, what an anomaly..." the first guy roared again.

"Well I have to agree that that guy was indeed not in the wrong, I mean, he was searching for her exactly for the reason of his license rank up.. so..." the third one said calmly.

"These three... haha, this should be interesting" the second guy said this time.

"How so?" the other two asked turning to him.

"At first it was her highness princess Kiara that was supposed to find out about Kiran Kraftful, the son of the «Empires Shadow». And now the only friend of the princess and the love interest of the second Prince the «Wind Demon» Sonya Impakta is interested about Kiran... will she change her opinion about him when she learns who he is? if not.. not, but if she does, will she become interested in the boy? if yes then the second prince will definetly be after him, and it doesn't matter who Kiran actually is, cause that guy becomes crazy when it's about the woman he is interested in. Not to mention the closeness of his little sister and Kiran, I don't think he will approve of that either..." The second one shared his thoughts

"So what you are saying is that The second prince is going to create problems for Kiran?" the third one asked.

"Not necessarily.. but Kiran will definetly be at least not that liked by the second prince." The second one replied.

"If there is going to be action, of course it's going to be fun." The first one thought out loud.

"We are the named Tri Guardians who swore loyalty to the Emperor, who gave us the task to look after the princess from the shadows, and if needed help Kiran... so if the Second Prince is going to seek trouble for Kiran, we will help Kiran from the Shadows." The second Guardian told their situation to himself as if deciding something.

"Imagine if we swore loyalty before the throne.. in that case we wouldn't be able to go against the second prince" The Third Guardian then said.

"What do you mean, go against him? we aren't going to fight him now are we?" The first Guardian asked.

"Who knows really.." The second Guardian replied.

I wore a giant smile on my face, that nobody could see, as I got my B rank license in my hands.

"Here, your license" Sonya indifferently said after changing my Adventurers Licenses Rank and then gave it to me.

"Thanks"

"So? Will you let Kiara explain what all of this is about now?" Sonya asked me again with her piercing gaze.

"..Sure" I answered.

"Great" Sonya then said " Let's go to a quieter place."

We then all went to a private room where commissions could be discussed.

After Kiara cleared the misunderstanding I was finally free to go wherever I want. And of course, I went back to the motel and when I reached my bed, I fell asleep moments later.

Today was just too much for me.
