2 The Weird Black Room...

The old man gained consciousness with a start.

"Huh? Where am I?" He asked in a daze.

It was dark all around and there was a box with a spinning wheel in front of him.

"What's a spinning wheel doing here? Why is it so dark again? Ugh wait why am I alive?"

He tried to make sense of this situation. One second he was embracing death, the next he is in some random dark place with a weird as-hell spinning wheel in front of him. Does it make sense that while everything is dark the wheel is crystal clear to see?

"Hello?"

.

"I would like to go back to dying please..."

He said with some blame in his voice. He was about to peacefully die dammit why is he alive again.

"Hey god? I can only assume it's a god who can do this. So...pat me on the back for figuring this out and let me die? ....please?"

He tried again and again while rephrasing his words as if trying to unlock some combination lock that would miraculously let him escape this situation.

When it didn't work the old man started sulking and just sat down the ground...or whatever the dark surface below him is.

"Let's see how you make me play if I don't want to"

He said stubbornly.

Minutes pass by then hours...finally he couldn't take it anymore.

He stood up walked up to the wheel and started scrutinising it.

"Hmm it says "World"... hmm? I think I can recognise some of them..."

While it was true that the old man cared for nothing but climbing up in the business world he did have to remain informed of the popular trends of the world to be updated on the price shifts in the financial world so he had naturally paid attention to movies and such, just not too seriously but he did memorise the timelines and plot details of all movies and comics to understand the trend of people's interests that the entertainment industry capitalises on. After all, he did have some stocks in that industry.

So imagine his surprise when he saw popular movie studio names like Marvel, DC and even some of the Japanese animation studios that were getting popular with releases of "animes".

It was interesting to see for him how Japan had gotten the attention of a large population of the world through its animations so he had researched them before. He was not knowledgeable enough about it though as he was more familiar with the old comics and movies of the DC and Marvel universes.

Using basic logic the old man could deduce that somehow getting a world chosen here might take him there. Otherwise, what was the point of the word "world"?

"Well, whatever..." He said lightly and decided to spin the wheel unenthusiastically.

The wheel began spinning very fast startling the poor old man who was weirded out. He definitely didn't put that much force into it...

Anyways the wheel gradually slowed down and headed towards the anime section...

"No no no! I don't know what the purpose of this is but if it's gonna be a quiz then I gotta say I know nothing much about this! God if you are hearing this let it land anywhere else!"

As if god had listened to his pleads or the wheel was fated to move forward, the wheel slowly kept moving and crossed the anime section to reach "Marvel".

"Ok, not bad...I do know a little about it. So now what?" The old man was a little intrigued now. He always loved a good puzzle and this wheel was very mysterious.

The wheel glowed green and the marvel area got highlighted then it sunk into the floor and was replaced by another wheel while the old man went near it to touch the area where it disappeared in curiosity.

"Interesting..." He said while stroking his beard. His belief of this being something supernatural becoming firmer.

The new wheel a few feet away was smaller and had another three sections namely "MCU", "X-Men", and "Marvel+Xmen".

The old man did not hesitate this time and pinned it directly. The wheel again spun very fast startling the old man again.

"What the fuck? Why spin so fast? What if my hand was still on it? Crazy mf...." He cursed for the first time. He decided then and there that he would be careful next time.

The wheel landed on "MCU+Xmen" and went down again. The old man couldn't care less he was still thinking that maybe god will let him watch those movies after this or something as a last gift for him.

"I wish you have popcorn though Mr. God!" he said in his assumed delusion.

While he was saying this another wheel appeared.

This time it had only 2 sides, "Passive Power" and "Active Power".

The old man was confused. He couldn't make sense of it.

"What do you mean by power? Like electricity or something? oh wait is it like those powers that marvel comics have? Yeah, that must be it, right? how else would the earlier two wheels link to this otherwise..." The old man wondered out loud.

He then spun it again. This time he put away his hands behind his back immediately after spinning. This time the area started to shake as the wheel landed on "Passive" and there were cracks all around.

"Wtf...have some consideration for the elderly dammit!" shouted the old man as he tried to regain balance. He successfully stabilised himself and saw the wheel shrinking to the ground again then came a very big wheel which was shrouded in mist.

Although the old man was confused and warily looking at the surroundings as if readying himself for another shake he spun the wheel again. At this, the whole place began to crack and the wheel kept spinning. The cracks were spreading as gradually until black pieces of the room started floating around and a white expanse was visible behind it.

The old man fell on the ground while the whole place rocked and just looked at the wheel as he could easily tell that the reason for all this was the wheel.

The wheel gradually stopped and landed on....."Omni Mimicry"

Then the whole place burst and the old man lost consciousness once again.

A/N: Baaam!!! How was it? Isn't this power cool? It's almost invincible hahaha This time I decided to not include his past life's name as in my last book it became hard for me to manage both names. This feels much better to me personally.
