Jody was unusually so quiet that evening and Liam could not help but get worried. It was true she was always so reserved, but not this reserved, especially when she was with him. She was always a little bit talkative with him than with others so it was quite bothersome to see her this quiet.
"What's up?" He asked and she shrugged.
"Huh?"
"You've been so quiet. Why?"
"What do you want me to say?" She flicked her hair behind her ears, her foot crunching under the dried leaves on the ground as they walked. The roots from the trees at both sides of the road rose above the ground, making the terrain difficult, but Jody kept going, undeterred.
