1 Chapter 1 "Mirae Octavia"

" Mirae! Mirae!"

"huh?" I heard a voice pulling me from the trance I was in, suprised I looked up. I saw Jacob, aka my boss and I stood up immediately, " B-Boss"

" This is the second time you are dosing in a project meeting!" Jacob's voice rang through the conference room and everyone shivered " Follow me after this meeting"

I sunk down in my chair and I hung my head down. I work at an ad agency. This project we are working on is for our biggest business partner in the whole of Cliffron City, SYC Corp.

I managed to not sleep in the next few hours and after the meeting I followed Jacob to his office on the 20th floor.

" Mirae what do you have to say for yourself at this moment!" Ofcourse Jacob is known for losing his temper at such circumstances like these ones am in . "I'm sorry?"

He looked at me with a piercing gaze that I felt like I wanted the ground to open and swallow me whole. I gulped expecting him to here him shout ,' your fired ' but surprisingly.....

" I have been looking for people to do this assignment for me and turns out you fell prey." Jacob said and I raised my head to look at him . What does he mean I fell prey!?!?! Is he sending me to hell?.

" You have heard about the Lucard Kingdom?" Jacob asked and I nodded my head and by the look of this i don't like where this is going.

" I want someone to do for me a private investigation about it" I looked at Jacob and gulped again because rumors has it that the last person who did an investigation about it was found dead at his house the following morning. So he sending me to a suicide mission?!?!

I laughed nervously and cleared my throat," Mr. Martins, I don't think I am cut out to do that job for you". For the sake of my life Jacob fire me if you want! I internally screamed.

" It's not a request" He said firmly

Oh well I should have expected that

" Next week on Monday, I have assigned you with Aaron and two company vans for your journey"

How generous Jacob. I sarcastically internally said.

" OK sir " Honestly I was scared out of my wits because I didn't know what future is there for me
