Madam Caroline's past (3)

Rex was beyond flabbergasted. He just sat there at a loss, not knowing how to react. He just couldn't believe that his mother hated him so much because of their father. What about Piper then? Rex ignored his injury that was starting to take effect and asked. 

"... And Piper? She isn't my dad's daughter. Why do you hate her too?" He was curious and wanted to know everything that happened to this bitter woman. 

"Because she's not my daughter!" She chuckled. 

Rex's blurry eyes widened in shock. "Wh– what do you mean?" he shook his head and wiped the blood that was running to his eye.
