It was no other person than Callummmmmm! He has been nothing, but a silent pain in my ass tonight.

haven't he had enough drinks already? Well, I guess this party was meant for one to drown their life's frustrations.

Wiesum lips thinned, as he signalled to another bartender to take up his order. Apparently, also annoyed by his interuption.

I casually took a sip of my drink, and checked my watch, it was 11:25 p.m. And no message from one person I had been expecting, I still have unread messages from our group chat though.

I clicked on it, and scrolled down, my eyes shadowed at the trash they were writing. I glanced over at their table, they were all having fun, Why the need to write that in the group chat? They knew that, I would see it, what happened to the unspoken rule of *Gossip behind people's back* But their were rubbing it right on my face.

My hand shook, as I held my phone tightly, If I don't leave now, I would to be a crying mess. Eyes were on me, probably Callum or Wiessum.. I just don't care at the moment.

I need to get out of here, I hurried my way from the bar counter. ''Ebele?'' I continued, ignoring Wiesum. I found a passage, that should definetly lead to the restroom.

I entered the door, with girl's sign. It was quiet, just exactly what I needed. I unlocked my phone to reread the conversations, that had taken place, even though I knew it would hurt, I just couldn't stop.

Bianc ~ {Didn't she said that she would come tonight.

Are we really undeneath her, that she have to keep up wiating}'

Brookii ~ {I don't know why you give a shit about her presence. If she comes fine, and if not, still fine. She is not the high light of this evening. }

Kori~ {Yah! me too. I just came here to get my head out of work. The worst bad luck ever, is to have a manager like mine. I would never which that for my enermy}

Those were the chat earlier in the evening. I scrolled down to the recent, and stared at it, with my blury eyes.

Bianc ~ {what, tell us. Is it about your celebrity crush again}

Maddi ~[Natii] {Why didn't you come?, I told you to let your mum take care of your baby. }

Natii ~[Maddi] {My mum has done enough already, between job and my shitty life. I can't tell her to take care of the baby just to party }

Tears kept on runing down my cheeks. I ruffled my hair, and gripped them tight, as I kept on staring at my phone, even though I couldn't see the damn words clearly. I sucked in deep breaths, to calm my trembling heart. I've had enough. I walked over to the mirror and stared at my face.

''What a mess!'' I took out my wiper and wiped them off, and a lips gloss to complete my look, before stepping out of the restroom. I followed the same way back to the bar. Might have had the thought to leave instantly, but that would be impolite to Wiesum.

I bit my lips as I got near the bar counter. They were all seated at the counter, communicating and talking with Wiesum and Callum. They might have heard, when he called out my name..

I thought of just leaving, cause I don't know how to face them. I tried my best to steady my shaking hand, as I got nearer.

My eyes met with Callum, as I reached close, but I cast my eyes down, unsure if he has read the chat or those gossips have spilled their mouth wide open.

''Ebele? So you just made up your mind to ignore us.'' Brooke said, in a hurt tone. I sometimes can't believe their shamelessness.

''Not even an 'Hello' from you. It's really not nice at all '' Bianca added.

I really don't know what to reply, we knew within ourselves that, that was a facade, so why the need to play nice, when they knew, that I would have likely seen the chats by now.

'' No! it's nothing like that. I just got sidetrack by Callum, then wanted a drink...,,,, It's a long story'' I gave the most apologetic smile I could mutter at that moment. '' Besides, you guys were clearly having fun.'' I took a seat, to make myself less exposed. I didn't like the way they were staring at me. I just wanted the ground to open up and eat me up.

I refused to meet Wiesum eyes, that have been following my every move, since I came back

'' This two brats wouldn't tell us anything'' Bianca complained. '' We just wanted to know why Rupert is not here tonight, or are you guys no longer lovers birds?''

I felt like gluing up her foul mouth at that moment.

''He couldn't make it'' I said simply, I didn't bother to correct her. I'm just so used of them saying that, I see no need to defend our friendship all the time.

I glanced at my drink, but didn't pick it up. I might be stupid and timid at times, but I always try to be carefull and avoid trouble.

'' Wiesum, can I have another Piña colada'' I requested with a smile.

'' Sure'' He bagan mixing my choice. The sound of cocktails being shaken could be heard, I could equally perceive the aroma of coconut and pineapple. My mouth ran dry, as I couldn't wait to indulge in my drink for confort.

'' So ?? '' Bianca started. ''Are you and Hut still engaged '' She has this knack for meddling in other people's lifes.

I bit my inner cheek.'' We were never engaged '' with a stiff smile I took my drink from Wiesum, and gluped them down.

'' I heard the engagement is going to be a private one''

I said nothing, as I sip my cocktail slowly.

'' So when will it be?'' I still said nothing, pretending to be immense in my drink.

'' No way!! Are you two planning to do the wedding without an engagement'' Maddie chimmed.

I held my drink with more force than needed.

'' Good questions there Maddi, but in what paragraph do you get to shut the fuck up ?'' Wiesum asked, while maintaining a blank expression. Maddi eyed him, before nursing her voldka shot.

Finally, a moment of peace.

'' You know, we all thought, that you would end up with Rupert'' Kori finally spoke up.

I bit forcefully down on my lips, and the metalic taste filled my mouth, I just cab't stand their ridiculousness.

'' Yah! me too, I could have bet my grades on it''

'' We all know you don't care about grades, Bianca'' Brooke interjected with a laugh.

Why can't people just keep their opinion about other people's choice to themselve.

'' I have too go now'' I said, as I stood. '' It's past midnight already'' I gave Callum a nod, and Wiesum a goodbye smile, before bolting. The rest can go to hell for all I care.

''How was ist Ma'am?'' Herr Lehmenn asked.

'' It went went just as I expected'' I mumured.

But that was the least of my concern now. I have a seriouse call to make, I thought as we reached the car. I opened the it, and got in.

Herr Lehmann did the same, and we drove back home.
