"I wouldn't have left if I were you, Denis," Aiden said, "I don't know what happened to your family. But there is one thing that I want to know. Have you told Fay that you're the successor to the Annora company?"
Denis looks down.
He hasn't told Faye about his family because he wants Faye to see him as an ordinary man, not as an heir to a big company. Although sooner or later Faye will also be curious about his family, especially after meeting Starla.
"Keeping a household requires mutual trust in each other, Denis, sometimes love alone is not enough," Aiden advised.
Of course, Denis knows that, what's so great about marriage, that is why he doesn't like to commit to women. Married right now is because of his mistake, so he must be responsible as a man, even if it's only by contract.
