Cullen felt a slight race in his heartbeat. The feeling was foreign and gave him a strong feeling of restlessness.
He could tell something was wrong but had no idea why he felt so. Somehow, he felt as if his worry came from Amelia.
With every passing second, his anxiety worsened and he couldn't ignore it anymore. He increased his car speed and drove crazy back home.
Picking up his cell phone beside him, he used half of his attention to scan his home environment. His breath caught up in his throat when his security signaled an intruder in the house.
Unable to detect if the intruder meant danger or peace with Amelia, Cullen became more restless. On second thought, Amelia had almost only him now.
His speed increased and with the speed of lightning, he drove into his yard before he'd drive away to pack his car in his garage, he heard a scream coming from Amelia.
