"Come in," Daniel permitted the person before his office door without knowing who it was.

The door pulled open slowly, and soft footsteps walked in. The sound stopped after two steps directly before his door.

"Speak up, as you can see I'm busy," Daniel said, not looking up to see who just walked in. He let out a soft breath and tapped fast on his keyboard.

Amelia took a step forward. "Daniel," She took in a soft breath afterward.

Daniel froze. His voice sounded as soft as the wind, calming him immediately. He took his eyes off his computer screen at the sound of that voice. He pushed his seat backward and stood up from his seat.

"Amelia_"

"We need to talk," Amelia cut him off. Approaching the couch in the office room, she clenched her purse tightly and took a seat.

Daniel's heartbeat fastened. Beads of sweat formed on his forehead as he stood there staring at her. She seemed to have changed a lot.
