Amelia woke up with soft groans. Her encounter with Daniel behind closed doors back at the event flooded into her mind and repeated itself like a dream.

She sighed softly and turned to the other side of the bed. Her hand touched it severally as if looking for someone.

Her eyes parted open when she felt nothing. The spot she felt was hot, and immediately, sadness filled her eyes.

Arranging her yoga shorts properly, Amelia climbed down from the bed and moved towards the bathroom. However, the moment she took her first step towards that direction, her ringing phone halted her steps.

Amelia let out a soft sign and picked up her phone from the lampstand. A soft frown graced her features when she saw an incoming call from Daniel.

The sadness in her eyes tripled. And just when she thought her tears for today had ended, her legs weakened.
