206 Overslept

She gradually fell asleep despite being so restless, days of fatigue sinking in as her eyelids slowly closed. Her breathing steady and quiet while she was being pulled to the dreamland. 

Meanwhile, Lu Chen pulled the door of their shared bedroom ajar after withdrawing from Lu Qiang's room. A curl appeared on his lips seeing his wife's slumbering figure, her shoulders up and down under the blanket. He carefully entered the room and walked over to Xiu Mei's bedside. 

He crouched beside her and tenderly gazed at her sleeping face. 

"Hm." He lightly chuckled hearing the soft snore coming from her. He gently stroked her hair. 

The wife must have been really tired. She was even softly snoring in her sleep for the first time. He watched her sleeping figure in amusement while recalling her lost expression back before he left the room and tucking her to bed.
