30 42. A husband who couldn't see his wife's pain

" The physician is here Ting Xiao!!", Li Sing Tan yelled from outside.

Mo Ting Xiao took a deep breath in to calm himself a bit." Bring him in", he commanded.

The door opened and a middle aged man stepped in followed by Chu Chu and Li Sing Tan.

When Li Sing Tan saw that Mo Ting Xiao's eyes were red, he could guess that the discussion about the scars were true. He looked at Lu Chang Chang for a second before walking out. He didn't need to ask Mo Ting Xiao about the scars, the answer was obvious.

Chu Chu ran and sat beside Lu Chang Chang as soon as she entered her chamber. She couldn't stand seeing her master like this and tears were rolling down her cheeks.

" Please wake up Miss... You are scaring me Miss… Please…", she was sobbing badly while holding Lu Chang Chang's hand in hers.

The two men inside didn't know what to tell….

The physician just bowed towards Mo Ting Xiao before taking Lu Chang Chang's hand to check her pulse and continue with examining her.

When the physician was checking her wounds on her back, he noticed Mo Ting Xiao being slightly agitated. He looked at Mo Ting Xiao through the corner of his eyes and saw a expression he had never seen on his face.

He could see that it was hurting him even more than what Lu Chang Chang was going through. The scars seemed to be stabbing him in the heart.

Mo Ting Xiao was feeling very uneasy from the minute he had seen the scars on her back. He felt pain, anger and hatred.

It was hurting him to the point that he would prefer that the scars were on him than her. He felt slightly angry that she hadn't told about the scars to him and he felt intense hatred towards the person who was the reason why she had these wounds.

When the physician was checking the clot on her back and putting some medicine on her wound, Lu Chang Chang whimpered in pain. Mo Ting Xiao couldn't stand it anymore and turned around and took a deep breath in an attempt to hold his emotions together.

The physician smiled softly seeing the way Mo Ting Xiao was reacting. A husband who couldn't stand his wife's pain and was willing to bear it for her was a true man….

The physician stepped back and Chu Chu immediately covered her body.

" How is she??", Mo Ting Xiao immediately asked in a restless tone.

" Her Highness's wound is not very deep, so it will heal within two or three days... And for the scars on her back, I will bring an ointment that will be very effective in removing the scars in the morning...", the man replied.

The hand maid immediately came forward and held Mo Jia and tried to calm her down." Miss... Please don't break the jewellery... People might get alerted by the noise… Please calm yourself…", the maid urged her to calm down and made her sit on the bed.

Mo Jia's chest was heaving up and down in anger.' Why can't I get rid of her???' She cursed Lu Chang Chang repeatedly in her heart.

She wanted to break everything that was in the room because of her anger, but held herself back as she realized that her hand maid's words also made sense. If people would hear the noise, they will become suspicious.
