6 18. Yang Yu and Tian Yi

The Yang Yu clique was considered one of the most dangerous and secretive organisation. They were people who held vengeance against different influential families. A secret society that has been thriving for centuries with almost no one finding any clue about its existence. They had dark spiritual powers.

But in recent decades, they had stopped attacking.. It was after they got defeated in a war by the Tian Yi clique… Some of them converted and changed their ways while among the others who still wanted to continue, most of them perished… Only a few survived, but were never heard of.

The Tian Yi clique could be considered an angel in contrast to the demonic Yang Yu clique. They had a unique form of spiritual energy. They held a war against the Yang Yu clique to put an end to the man slaughter and won.

It was said that the war was won by a mystical energy, thousand times stronger than the common ones, had aided in the Tian Yi clique's victory. The energy was possessed by only a single member of a top family and was handed down ever since.

Till this day, the Yang Yu clique has been looking for the owner of the power to use it for their own selfish needs. The Tian Yi clique has been trying everything in its power to protect and conceal them.

" They had stopped attacking for a while now… Could she be from an influential family??", Lu Chang Chang asked in confusion." Probably… But it is unfortunate that she doesn't remember anything…", he replied softly.

Then there was only silence. The two of them were quietly thinking for a solution. If the Yang Yu clique was back in action, it meant that a lot of lives were going to be lost. The two of them got out of their thoughts only when they heard a door open.

When they looked up, they saw Ting Ting step out of her room. She looked much better after a bath. Chang Chang's clothes fit her pretty well. She only looked a bit thin in it. She smiled when she saw them and walked towards them excitedly.

Lu Chang Chang just smiled at her and her Master just nodded. Food was quickly served in as it was almost dinner time. After a short prayer they picked their chopsticks and started eating. Ting Ting was eating as if there was no tomorrow.

Sensing that the girl was very hungry, Lu Chang Chang put more food into her bowl. The girl happily ate. The dinner was quiet and only filled with the sounds made by the chopsticks.

After dinner Lu Chang Chang said," I am not sure if the food were to your taste.. I am not a very good cook…" Lu Chang Chang was a bit embarrassed to say this. She was good at every god damn thing except cooking.

" No … The food was really very tasty big sister..", she replied with a cute smile. Lu Chang Chang smiled back. But then the word big sister brought a bad memory back to her. Lu Chunghwa also used to call her that. In the beginning she thought the girl actually was innocent but only later did she find out that the girl was a venomous snake hiding in the shadow of being a cute rabbit. Her face darkened.

Ting Ting was surprised when she saw the dark expression on her face. She thought she made some mistake and shrunk back slowly out of fear. Her master, who saw the darkness gradually creeping her face at once realised what was going on inside. He flicked her forehead to get her back to the present.

" Brat… Forget the past.. They are worthless of your time…", he said. Lu Chang Chang snapped out of her momentary daze. She looked apologetically at Ting Ting and said," I am sorry about that… Just call me anything but big sister… "

" How about sis Chang Chang??..", she asked with an eager smile. Lu Chang Chang just smiled and nodded her head. " I will try to find some information about you.. You can stay with us here… There are just a few rules..", Lu Chang Chang started. Ting Ting's ears perked up and she listened to her attentively.

" Every morning we will train together… We must wash our own clothes and I'll help you make your clothes.. Each person has to do at least one chore.. Like I do collecting of herbs and some cleaning… What can you do??..", she asked.

" Um… I can cook well… And also help in cleaning and stitching", she said excitedly. Lu Chang Chang smiled and said," Great… And about this old man here… I call him master, you can do that too… He is good at martial arts and medicine.. He is also very knowledgeable… So remember to squeeze out every bit of knowledge you can get from him…"
