'Help me'

As soon as Richard received that text, he could feel his heart drop into his stomach as his fear grew.

Fear. It was an uncomfortable feeling that he rarely felt anymore. He was a soldier who had survived many dangerous situations throughout his life. Although he wasn't deployed in the field anymore, he occasionally had to go on sensitive missions that required his presence on the ground such as the one that caused him to get injured recently. Even then, he rarely felt fear, just a sense of tension that caused him to stay sharp and anticipate things that could possibly grow wrong and calmly deal with them.
