9 Staying for Dinner (part 2)

Max walked into his room to get yet another change of clothes before heading to take a shower. His thoughts were filled with their dancing this afternoon, how Nancy felt so smooth, her intoxicating smell, her plump, and delicious lips. Closing his eyes, he had one hand wrapped around her waist, the other around her head playing with her hair, she was looking straight at him in a daze, their faces getting harder??? He sighed realizing his thoughts were driving him crazy, so he made sure to take a few minutes longer in a nice cold shower to help clear his mind and relax his body.

Nancy ran straight for her backpack then quickly to the bathroom, slamming the door shut, sliding down it so embarrassed from her reactions. How was she going to face them now? She couldn't take back what she said about staying for dinner and just leave could she, right? Her mind was in a frenzy, she slowly stood up telling herself to take deep breaths, it is ok, it is ok. When she calmed she noticed how nice the bathroom was. It was spacious, full of amenities....was this what he usually uses, he did say he stayed down there most of the time right? She started to wonder what his parents did for a living since they had such a big, nice, two-story house. Their basement was actually an entertainment room and they had a two-car garage. Her mind was calm once again. She dried off her body and used another towel to dry off her hair the best she could since she didn't see a hairdryer. Once she was dressed in her school clothes again, she decided to keep her damp hair in a loose ponytail.

Even though Max stayed in the shower a little longer than usual, he still made it out and was all dried off and dressed before Nancy. His Mom told him that it would take about a half an hour more before dinner was ready. He said ok and that he would be downstairs with Nancy. When he got downstairs he notices she was still in the bathroom. He hoped she had calmed down and wouldn't want to go home after her little tantrum. He smiled thinking she was the cutest thing ever, like a little pink bunny, laughing at that, he noticed the bathroom door open and saw Nancy dressed in her school clothes, the only difference was that she had her long slightly wet hair down in a loose ponytail on the side, over her shoulder, exposing her slick skin on one side of her neck, he gulped, clearing his thoughts, waiting for her to walk over before suggesting to play a game or watch some tv before dinner, deciding it best to completely ignore the topic of her red face running away like a little rabbit.

*******************

Nancy spotted Max and instantly became nervous. She took a deep breath thinking of what she would say as she walked towards him, but before she could say anything he looked at her with some games in his hand asking if she wanted to play or watch tv before dinner? She was beginning to think that he was telepathic as he always seems to stop her from rejecting him, or making her feel at ease in an instant like right now. She was at a complete loss for words and giggled. She then asked what kind of games he had, brushing off his confused look as to why she was giggling. Seeing how she agreed to play, meant she agreed to stay. Max did not care why she was giggling as long as she was happy, he was happy.

They played Mario Go Kart, for a few rounds when Nancy started to ask him how long they have lived in the house. He said they have always lived here. Her smile slowly faded since he had what she had always wanted....a place to grow up, I mean one place, not a whole bunch of places. She continued to ask what his parents do? He explained that his Mom works as a clerk and his Dad has a high office rank in the company he works for. Max glanced at Nancy noticing how she looked a little sad, he paused the game and asked her what was wrong? What is she thinking? Nancy just looked back at his curious light brown eyes which seemed like they were trying to find the cause to her sadness. Nancy just said she was fine and just thought that he must have had a fun childhood with tons of friends.

Max said that she didn't look fine and even if she didn't stay in one place like he did while growing up, she must have met some nice people, seeing some great scenery, also how even if she didn't grow up with the same group of people, she still had her Mom. With those words she started to cry, I mean, everything he said was true and here she was complaining about it all. Max quickly pulled her into his embrace caressing her back slowly, tenderly and before he knew it she fell asleep. He looked down at her when he felt her stop crying and started breathing regularly. She had subconsciously cuddled in closer to his warm body. She felt safe, protected, maybe even loved, causing her to drift into sweet slumber.

When Max's Mom went to tell them it was dinner time, she noticed it was a bit quiet, too quiet. So before she said anything she walked around to see what they were doing, smiling when she saw her son lovingly hold the little lady in his arms while both were asleep in each others' embrace. She gently tapped on her son's shoulder. Max started to move around in the bean bag causing Nancy to wake up as well. Max was happy to see Nancy resting peacefully in his lap. Nancy, on the other hand, tried to jump out from his lap when she saw his Mom, but he held her in place, causing her to become shocked and once again before she could say anything he simply said, looking at her sweetly, that she should get up slowly since they were sitting quite low and also have just woke up. She took in his words noticing his Mom nod in agreement, she began to move slowly out from his strong, warm embrace. Max followed right behind her. His Mom said dinner was ready, so they followed her to the kitchen.

Max's Dad was already there waiting for everyone else, wondering what the kids were doing since they both seemed to be....to be....at peace, that is, they both had peaceful expressions on their faces. He shrugged it off though when the food was being served and everyone dug in. When dinner was over, Max said he was going to walk Nancy home. She also called her Mom to let her know that she was heading home now.

They took their time walking to Nancy's house, really not saying much. Max did tell her that he had fun with her and hoped they could continue to hang out. She nodded her head in agreement. When they arrived at her place, he told her he will pick her up again tomorrow morning. She looked up at him for the first time on their walk to her place, smiling sincerely, telling him thanks for everything and that it has been a very long time since got to hang out with a friend. They hugged each other goodbye as she said thank you once again and goodnight, before leaving his warm embrace once again that day.

He made sure she walked inside her house before turning to leave with a huge smile plastered on his face and her warmth still on him as well.
