206 The Nexus of Fate

It was a spectacle to behold, a testament to its parents' transcendent bond, a sign that they were chosen, their union and their progeny blessed by the cosmic forces that governed the universe.

And then, as suddenly as it had appeared, the vision faded. 

Oya's energy receded, and she returned to the present, her eyes returning to their normal state. 

But the awe in the room remained, the image of the dragon-phoenix child forever seared in their minds.

A silence consumed the room, every eye transfixed on Oya, who seemed equally dazed. The vision had been potent, vivid, and beyond the comprehension of most present.

Grandmama Tai Sui was the first to burst. Her eyes, lined with age but still bright with spirit, shimmered with unshed tears of joy. 

"A great-grandchild! I'm...I'm going to be a great-grandmother! " 

She exclaimed, her voice a cocktail of laughter and emotion.
