Chapter 52 - A Week Later
A week has passed after Lia and Estel joined the military with the trainees.
The total population also increased by 70, courtesy of the summoning platform that summoned 10 new villagers every day at noon.
14 were children and can't still can't physically work and were thus sent to the other 16 children who were under the care of two adults elves.
56 were adutls and were able to work, so they were distributed to the workforce.
Among those, 20 were sent to the military, 20 to the farming, and 16 were evenly distributed to builders and laborers.
On the military side.
Lia and Estel were now familiar with the drills and can train the elven trainees without Avery's guidance.
The trainee's execution of the drills was now much more orderly.
They are now familiar with the commands and can execute them properly.
A little more training and they would be able to coordinate and move as one seamlessly.
Closed drills were not the only thing that they did during the week.
3 days after the repetitive drills, Avery decided to decrease the amount drills and at the same time replace them with weapon training.
Mages, swordsmen, and Archers were separated during the weapon training.
The mages practiced their magic and applied them for combat.
The swordsmen did some basic sword drills and sparred with one another.
Lastly, the archers practiced their aim and accuracy.
While they trained, ten sentries guarded the village. Some were stationed by the gate, others patrolled, and some escorted the laborers in gathering materials.
On the agriculture side of things.
Twenty farmers that were newly summoned also started planting the Tier 1 Magical seeds after Lindir enhanced enough seeds for them to plant.
These seeds were not only wheat, as Lindir was able to successfully create a variety of the magical seeds. It was not that hard for him since he only needed to do repeat what he did to the wheat seeds to other seeds that the village had in store.
Avery did not need to teach them the method he used in the last timeline since the atmosphere was already abundant with mana.
That method would only be used to placed that lacked the rich mana atmosphere that the village currently enjoys.
So the farmers only needed to cultivate the magic crops as they would a normal crop.
On the infrastructures of the village.
The builders and laborers with the lead of Haldir and Elrand also did some progress.
With the instructions of Yue in mind, Haldir guided the builders to build more houses to accommodate the newcomers.
Other than the houses, three more watchtowers were built, bringing it to a total of four in the village.
A space for the market district was also established. Though the market district was still empty at the moment since everything is still controlled by the government.
After the infrastructures were established, the village gained 200 experience points thus bringing it a step closer to leveling up into an Intermediate Village.

On earth side of things, the people were able to slowly recoup themselves from the damages done by the Rain of Ascension.
This also means that the stocks that Avery invested in also started to climb up in value.
During the week, Avery and Yue gathered more information on their enemies and at the same time kept an eye on the current situation on the forum.
The forum also seems to indicate that the other players were now getting used to the features in the Ascnded World and were now slowly building themselves up.
It was also this time that Yue injected the false information that they prepared into the forum.
She also manipulated some the visibility of some key informations posted in the forum.
They hoped that this would delay them from figuring out that the position they started in the Ascended World correlates with their location on earth.
This means that once they figured out that their neighbors on earth is also their neighbors in the Ascended World, then they would start to gather to form an alliance or fight one another.
One method that Avery and Yue's enemy did in the last timeline was the use of money.
They paid their neighbors with real cash on earth in exchange for their subservience on the Ascended World.
The 4 major families including the one handled by Avery and Yue's uncle, the very same uncle who colluded with the other 3 major families to take over Avery and Yue's family, invested tons of money in this method.
The fact that they also got some starting benefits along with the information regarding the true nature of the Ascended Word and the destruction of Earth made it easy for them to redirect most of their funds towards the Ascended World.
Civilians and other business people who did not have the same benefits thought that they along with other people in the world were crazy enough to spend tons of money on what the common people deemed as nothing but a virtual reality game.
In the end, the people simply went along with them since it was easy money for them.
Thus with the aid of those people, they were able to progress much more rapidly compared to others.
This is what Avery hoped to delay as long as possible by spreading fake information on the forum and hiding some vital information posted there.
Avery wanted more headstart compared to others, even if the time bought through this method may not be much and perhaps it would only bring them a week or two worth of time.
He firmly believes that it was still worth it noting that the amount of effort that they needed to do it is not much.
Any advantage that he could get is valuable, especially since the future is dire and full of wars.

Back to the Ascended World, Avery and Yue were standing in front of the organized soldiers.
They had just finished their morning lessons and were now standing in attendance at the field in front of the barracks.
The soldiers were focused and had their backs up straight.
Lia and Estel were leading them in front as they all faced Avery and Yue, waiting their order.
Currently, the elven soldiers were grouped together based on their classes.
As of now, the military contains the two rulers of the Aevum Empire, Avery and Yue, followed by 2 Generals, 19 Swordsman, 8 Mages, 10 Archers, and 10 Sentries.
"Ok listen up! After the training and drills that you soldiers went through, it is about time for you to get some real experience. The sentries are to remain at the village along with 9 Swordsman while the others would come with us to set forth on 15 hours expedition to explore the surrounding area around the village." Avery explained to the soldiers in front of them as they all listened attentively.
"Understood?" Avery asked.
"Yes, your majesty!"
"Good." Avery said in satisfaction.
He then faced his head towards his sister who was standing beside him and gestured for her to start.
"Yes, big brother," Yue said with a smile and proceeded to take a step forward.
"Alright! I'll be discussing the details of the expedition along with some other information…." Yue then proceeded to inform them of the details that she and her big brother discussed during their time on earth.
