"...Oh shit."

Mother's Milk subconsciously muttered in fear as he saw Homelander calmy gliding towards them with an evil look on his face.

They wanted to muster up some courage but they knew that no matter what they do, it will be futile so they could only watch in fear as he approached them with his sickening smile.

They glanced at each other with sad smiles as at that very moment, they accepted their fates and turned to look at Homelander with defiance as they shifted into battle stances.

Fully intent on fighting for the last time.

"Wow, I'm impressed. With the way, your blood pressure is rising and how much you guys are sweating, I actually thought you will piss yourselves. Well then, see you guys in ano----, it seems we have company."

Homelander paused and said as he looked upwards and saw a tall man in an all-black combat suit calmly standing in the air above them with a black helmet on.

"Black Noir? No, this is-----, w-what the hell is going on!? How is this possible!?"

Homelander asked in disbelief as he used his [X-Ray Vision] to see past the costume and saw who the person truly was.

The crew on the ground also looked up and only become confused and surprised when the saw the person. The surprise came from the fact that judging by the person's build and outfit, it was clearly Black Noir but from what they knew he wasn't capable of flight.

Their confusion came from the fact that Homelander said it wasn't him and when they saw the look of horror and surprise on his face, they realized there was more to the help that Edgar sent as promised.

Taking advantage of Homelander's distraction, the figure blurred from his position and instantly arrived in front of Homelander with a punch directed toward his face.

<Bang!>

The punch connected and sent Homelander flying through the woods, obliterating it in the process and creating a long path full of broken trees and destroyed soil.

Without wasting a second, he flew towards Homelander's location but he had to stop and dodge Homelander's [Heat Vision] attack.

"....I'll kill you!"

Homelander bellowed in rage and with speeds untraceable by the naked eye, arrived in front of 'Black Noir' and with a punch, sent him flying into the lake house.

<Boom!>

'Black Noir' got up from the destroyed house just in time to dodge Homelander's punch that blew away some small items and dust around them and sent a quick jab to his chin.

The attack made no damage but rather increased his rage since he never thought at his level someone will be able to hit him and blasted him with his [Heat Vision] but 'Black Noir' blocked the attack which his arms.

The attack vaporized part of the suit that covered his arms but since it didn't harm him, he just shrugged it off and retaliated with a heavy punch that made Homelander's head arch backwards.

He immediately utilized that split second and sent a high kick to Homelander's face but he grabbed it with his left hand and threw him into the sky.

Homelander flew to the sky and exchanged numerous high-speed punches with 'Black Noir' that created loud shockwaves that even reached the ground and sent things flying.

Their fight reached a point where their figures couldn't be discerned since they moved at speeds that made onlookers only see occasional blurs and silhouettes, the only indication that there was a fight going on was the powerful shockwaves that blew trees and soil away or the loud explosion-like sounds that echoed all over the place.

".... I think we should leave."

Starlight said, breaking out of her shock as she realized their immediate surroundings were being destroyed as a result of the breathtaking and frightening fight that was taking place above them.

The rest also broke out of their shock and immediately left the place heading towards where Maeve run to after picking up Frenchie's cold body, leaving behind the two god-like beings whose fight still rampaged the surroundings.

<Splash!>

Suddenly, 'Black Noir' shot straight into the lake like a rocket and rapidly descended towards its depths.

He forcefully stopped his body and as he maneuvered and was about to blast into the sky, thick beams of intense radiant heat barreled into him and made him crash into the bottom of the lake.

The heat beams didn't stop and continued pushing him into the lake's bottom floor and because of the immense amount of heat radiated from the beams, the lake started boiling and evaporating.

Homelander's [Heat Vision] attack continued for ten minutes and when he finally seized it, the water was fully evaporated with a large and seemingly never-ending hole at its bottom.

With a smirk on his face, Homelander crossed his arms and waited patiently as 'Black Noir' gradually ascended from the hole and landed on the destroyed ground near the area of the lake.

His clothes and torso were burnt with half of his mask destroyed, revealing part of his face that greatly resembles Homelander.

As he stood there, his wounds started healing slowly but this wasn't visibly apparent until his weak posture became straight and strong again and when Homelander noticed this, he frowned and immediately dashed to his position and sent a straight punch to his face.

Unfortunately, 'Black Noir' narrowly dodged the punch by tilting his head and punctured Homelander's eyes using his fingers making him scream in pain and stagger as his feet touched the ground with his palms on his eyes.

'Black Noir' then grabbed Homelander's face and headbutted him but this rather affected him and made his mind foggy.

".... That's enough."

Homelander growled with glowing red eyes as he clutched him by his neck with so much strength that he couldn't even resist and only choked.

".....I was surprised when we started fighting since you could push me around and hit me hard enough for it to sting but that's your limit as a fucking clone. What? If you want to say something, then do it but I doubt you can even speak."

Homelander mocked as he increased the pressure around his neck, making him gag and struggle for air as he desperately tried to pry Homelander's fingers off his neck.

"If this was the old me you might've won or possibly even killed me but sadly, I'm the upgrade. Enjoy hell or whatever place clones go to when they die, piece of shit."

Homelander said as he shot his other hand right through him and crushed his heart.

As the clone fell, Homelander used his [Heat Vision] on the dead body and only stopped after it was incinerated.

After he was done, he floated up and glanced around, taking in the sight of the destroyed lake house, the evaporated lake, the ground littered with huge holes, and the destroyed surrounding woods with a maniacal grin on his face.

"Now all that's left is to kill Virgil but since he's hiding and I have no idea where he is, I guess I'd have to visit Vought and his company to see if there are any more surprises.

When I'm done I will take back Ryan from them, and kill the rest of those fuckers. It's time this beloved nation has a god as its leader."

He smiled maliciously and blasted into the sky, heading towards New York City at high speed.

It's time for a change in Government.

[▪︎Unnamed Island, V-Archipelago▪︎]

In a hidden underground laboratory on this particular island isolated away from the happenings in the world, a small white room filled with gaseous liquid nitrogen was situated.

The gaseous liquid nitrogen was so much that it concealed everything in the room but the outline of a medium-sized vertical octagonal chamber could be seen.

Everything was normal in the room but suddenly the lights started blinking and the chamber started shaking violently.

<Bang!>

The chamber exploded with a huge shockwave that dispersed the gas with its parts sent flying and scattered all over the room, revealing a floating figure in its place.

The body of the figure was tall with a mesomorphic muscular build that showed his robust and highly condensed muscles, his grown long silver hair dying gravity as it floated in the air.

His eyes opened and revealed his glowing grey-colored eyes that sparked with amusement as he looked around.

"Finally,...I'm back."
