"This is the place?"

"Yes, this is Translucent's last location. His other location is just a twenty minute drive from here."

I nodded in agreement and entered the dilapidated building in front of me.

This is where Translucent took his last breath apparently, we detected another signal in Liberty Harbor but I decided to come here first before going there.

The whole place is dirty and in shambles with broken windows, glass and other items lying around.

I walked around the place carefully and spread my senses to cover the whole building, detecting a bunker as a result.

I'm not surprised this building has a bunker, where else could they have killed him without alerting anyone.

I entered another room and walked towards the bunker's entrance.

Using the staircase I descended into the bunker. The whole place was destroyed, with dust and huge pieces of concrete lying everywhere.

Well done, but they could've done better. I would've used incendiary bombs rather maybe they didnt have some? Never mind.

"Please tell me you have something I can use?"

I said with a smile on my face as I scanned the place to pick up any clue from the destroyed bunker with my senses but it seems there are no material traces.

"....Accessing the city's cameras and surveillance systems, I've picked up numerous images of people that have been around and inside the building in the last hour and .... just watch, I don't want to ruin the surprise."

She said in a tone that painted a picture of a smirk in my head.

"Is that so? Then let me see the surprise ... Damn, who would've thought I would see you again just after I've gotten your beloved wife in my palm.. Butcher."

I said, amused at what I was seeing from my watch's holographic screen. Billy Butcher's picture is on my screen with two more guys right beside him.

So it seems the video I sent him that day resulted into this situation... hmm, no even if I didn't send it to him I'm sure this would've still happened.

The time I sent it to him, I was expecting him to confront Homelander guns blazing after a while but even after waiting for a months he didn't show up so I thought he chickened out or died somewhere due to despair or something, I really wanted a show to watch.

But it seems he was able to control that violent side of his and has now come out to exact his revenge, if his life were a movie then he will probably be the protagonist given his tragic backstory but oh well nobody cares.

And that short guy beside him, he is the French guy who tried to sneak into the Herogasm I organized a couple of years back.

Wanting to fuck supes now he is killing them? Sheesh, talk about being salty.

The other guy looks normal... but I don't think so. Nobody that's involved in this type of thing can be a 'normal' guy.

This is getting really interesting, I have to see what they've done with Translucent's body.

"Now that we now know the culprits, its time to see what surprise they've left us."

With a slight smile on my face, I blasted through the roof and headed towards where his body is and within minutes I stopped above Liberty Harbour.

Not wasting time, I expanded my senses into the water below me and located a metallic chest two hundred and twenty feet below.

With a thought, the chest shot straight out of the water and opened when it came in front of me.

"Haha, this guy is insane."

I laughed when I saw the contents of the box.

Inside of the chest, Translucent's body parts are inside a body bag with a message written on the front part of the opened chest that basically declares war on Homelander judging by the Zinc plating and also Vought.

This is not my issue so I'm not going to interfere in his futile crusade, he will probably die before he meets Homelander and even if he lasts, there is no way he is going to defeat Homelander.

He should just hope he doesn't cross my lane, otherwise....

I should send this to Vought, it's the least I can do to fan the flames of violence.

Well then, I have a race to catch.

"Mr Deva, we all want to know your view regarding the 'Supes in Military' issue. Please tell us what you think."

The dark skinned female interviewer asked Virgil who is seated in front of her in his superhero suit with Queen Maeve sitting beside him as fans made cheered for the upcoming race.

"Well, I think it's a great idea. Every American can testify on how powerful the army has become as a result of my inventions. That's just my part, imagine the exponential increase in the military's capabilities when people like Maeve, A-Train and Homelander are utilizing thier gifts in the military."

Virgil passionately explained to the interviewer who was staring at him. Hearing what he said, the interviewer and crowd nodded their heads in agreement since what he said shows how patriotic he is, only Maeve knew he was acting.

"I agree with Virgil. Plus, if the citizens want us to join the army they can convince Congress to do so, am I right?"

Maeve asked the audience passionately with a smile, making them cheer loudly in agreement.

<Bang!>

Homelander loudly landed on the ground with one knee, creating a small dent as a result.

Everyone in the stadium cheered loudly when they saw him, making Maeve frown lightly and Virgil smile.

"Sorry I'm late, got room for one more?"

He asked with a charming smile as he shook the reporters hand and nodded at Virgil and Maeve.

"Hey, who wants to see a race? Let's give it up for my boy A-Train!.... Hahaha... you fucking cocksuckers."

He muttered the last part in a low tone with a smile, Virgil who heard this chuckled lightly with Maeve giving him the 'eyebrows'.

"If you'll excuse me."

Virgil said with a smile to Homelander and Maeve and flew away from that location to Starlight who is standing near Black Noir, waving at the cheering crowd in her new sexy costume.

Landing beside Starlight, Virgil flashed a beautiful smile and waved at the crowd, sending them into a passionate frenzy of cheering.

Black Noir nodded in greeting and left the two alone.

"Its been a while Starlight, how have you been?"

Virgil asked with a smile on his face. Starlight wasn't happy that Virgil was beside her addressing her as if they were friends but she prevented her unease and unhappiness from showing and still smiled at the fans.

"I'm fine."

She responded dryly not even looking at him.

"Still salty after that night huh? We both know you enjoyed it so stop behaving like a child, you may not like me but I admire you Starlight. You showed me what a woman can do to achieve her goals and frankly I admire that part of you."

Virgil said to her in an innocent tone with a slight smile that looked harmless to the crowd but she understood what he was saying and this made her annoyed.

"Is that all you have to say, if so then goodbye."

She said in an annoyed tone and a frown, finally facing Virgil and turned to leave.

But Virgil grabbed her hand and pulled her towards him with his arm around her waist.

"Don't be in such a rush, I still have something to say. I don't know who designed that outfit but I love it, it shows your womanly charms and it has made you more ravishing. Please don't lose it."

Virgil whispered in a sultry tone in her ears making her quiet and hot with the crowd cheering wildly as they witnessed their interaction and left her, flying towards Homelander with a smirk on his handsome face.

"I saw what you did to Starlight there, I can never understand some of your tastes."

Homelander mocked as Virgil landed beside him.

"Says the guy who loves breast milk."

Virgil replied with a mocking smile that made Homelanders face twitch, effectively shutting him up.

They stood there in silence and watched as A-Train and Shockwave got into their running positions but someone was fiercely staring at Homelander from the stands who also stared at him in return.

"3....2....1... Go!"

The announcer shouted as he shot his gun towards the sky.

<Boom!>

A loud explosion took place on the track and in seconds, A-Train crossed the finish line making him the winner of the race allowing him to keep his title as the fastest man alive.

When Homelander looked back from the track to see if the person who was staring at him was still there, he realized the person has disappeared.

"Hey, did you see the guy who was staring at me?"

He asked Virgil who was standing beside him since he was confused.

"Yeah I saw him, why what's the problem."

Virgil asked with a weird smile.

"I don't know, but he looked very familiar."

Homelander replied, crossing his arms.

"Yeah you know him pretty well after all, you banged his wife."

Virgil said in a playful tone and left Homelander who started contemplating over what he said in silence.

In a few minutes, Homelander's eyes widened as he now remembered the guy's face.

'I remember him now. That's Billy Butcher, Becca's husband. But why was he looking at me like that, does he know? No even if he knows, he can't look at me like that. Something's fishy, I will look into it when I go back.'

Homelander thought and left the stadium after flashing one final smile to the crowd, leaving them to praise the hyper active A-Train who is celebrating wildly on the race track.
