6 Becoming An Adventurer (2)

As soon as I heard the blow of the whistle I rushed toward the trainer using my snake step technique which only left my after images on the left and right side like a snake's movements as I advanced towards him.

And as soon as he was in my attack range I jumped in the air and used my sword skill fell crescent, the blue in color crescent fell towards where the trainer was.

I didn't stop at that and continuously used my skill two-three times again, the blue crescents attacked the trainer from all directions.

The trainer was taken aback by the pace of my attacks, which came at him from all sides, but he parried them with his sword.

The smoke raised from where he was, and the ground was destroyed leaving only the sword marks on the ground.

The trainer emerged from the smoke seemingly unaffected by my attacks, but I knew better that my attack had done him some damage.

If one looked attentively, one could see that the wrist in which he was carrying his sword was somewhat swollen.

When I saw that, a slight grin appeared on my face unknowingly.

But the trainer's expression didn't change, and he charged at me, swinging his sword.

I avoided his attack by simply taking a step backward. Seeing how easily I evaded his attack, he continued to attack me by swinging his sword left, right, and everywhere.

I dodged his every assault by moving left and right and parrying some attacks with my sword, and as our swords collided at a high speed, only the sounds of the sword clash could be heard by common people like the receptionist.

We both attacked each other rapidly for a few minutes, and I was mostly on defense due to the disparity in our power.

But I was still able to dodge and parry all of his attacks and was not at a disadvantage.

It's not that his strikes were slow, but I've faced much faster attacks than his while practicing with Mika.

I smiled as I parried and dodged his attacks because I was able to do so without using my element. I had heard he was an A-Rank adventurer, and keeping up with him without being at a disadvantage was quite an accomplishment for the current me.

When he realized his attacks weren't working on me, he used his element wind to launch an attack at me.

It caught me off guard, but I tried to avoid it, but I was too late, and the strike landed on my right cheek, causing blood to drip from it.

As I was prepared for my next attack, I felt a strange shiver behind my back.

I slowly turned my head to see its source, my eyes widened in shock and my mouth was wide open.

There I saw Mika's hair floating mid-air her eyes turned red and the whole training hall was vibrating from her killing intent trying to destroy everything in its path...

The Guild master standing nearby began vomiting blood, and the receptionist not far away lost consciousness, so I turned to find the trainer.

The trainer was on his knees, seeping blood from every part of his body, his eyes were bloodshot, and blood was streaming from his ears, nose, and mouth...he appeared to lose consciousness while sitting on his two knees.

Only I seemed to be unaffected by it.

"...."

It's not like I can come out unscathed from that much killing intent, but it is just that her killing intent didn't even reach me.

This means she is controlling her killing intent by creating her domain.

Only a few people can make their domain which is when they reached and obtained a certain level of power that transcend humans.

And those people are known as transcended beings.

There are only a few of them in the whole world and we can count them on our fingers...

I never thought Mika was a transcended being as it was never mentioned in the novel.

I quickly returned to my senses and ran towards Mika, shaking her left and right and yelling her name as loudly as I could to get her to stop, but it didn't seem to work.

Then I grabbed her arms and yanked her toward me with all my might, and when she was at my height, I kissed her cheeks and hugged her.

She occasionally coerces me into doing that, which is rather awkward, and that's not the good — ern, I mean the worst part is that she even wants me to spend the night with her and Aegis on the weekends.

"...."

I stayed there for a minute and soon noticed her killing intent reducing by every second and after a few more seconds it dispersed completely.

She came back to her senses and rubbed her hands on my hair and then on my right cheek where a small amount of blood was dripping and took out a high-level health potion and made me drink it.

"...."

'What a waste of an Advanced healing potion,' I thought to myself.

Advanced health potions are like an extra life for low-rank adventurers which could help heal deep injuries, damaged organs, and even decapitated body parts.

You can't buy these high-level healing potions even if you have a huge amount of money, hence it's sought after by every adventurer all across the world.

Aegis was the one who told me about potions, and she's the one that makes and supplies these potions to Mika.

As Aegis is not only a healer but also a potion maker, hence sought by every kingdom.

She regularly changes her identity while visiting other kingdoms because her presence would cause her to die by overworking.

Mika was the one who sponsored her when she was a newbie in her profession and hence from then on they became sisters.

'That's what Aegis told me,' I pondered.

I got quite close to her too since she always stays at home reading comics or watching anime. I visit her regularly after my training to pass my time, and sometimes Mika joins too.

Oh, Aegis stays on the first floor of Mika Amami's mansion...

After all that scene caused by Mika we returned to the VIP lounge and were sipping tea, like what happened a few minutes ago was just a dream.

After getting back to his senses and healing himself the Guild master came to the VIP lounge where I and Mika were enjoying tea together.

He had a fearful and guilty expression on his face while Mika was glaring at him as if boring a hole through him.

Mika explained to me why she lost her composure, she said trainers didn't suppose to use these elements and skills while dueling with the adventurers using their swords.

They had to just use their swordsmanship to test and determine the adventurer's rank.

And in the case of adventurers that use magic, they can just use basic-level spells to attack and defend themselves.

In my case, the trainer fighting with me used his element wind during our fight which was against the rules.

"That's the reason why I was so angry at them and not because you got hurt or had a bleeding cheek.... definitely not," Mika said shaking her head repeatedly.

"...."

'I don't know why but she repeated those words twice.'

I moved my attention to the Guild master who was bowing countlessly and apologizing, he even promised to compensate me.

Then Mika took him somewhere to talk about some things in private, they both returned after a few minutes and I noticed Mika smiling at me innocently.

Whereas Guild master's face seemed pale and he was sweating all over and...trembling?

"...."

The Guild master rushed out in a hurry leaving me and Mika alone in the VIP lounge.

I saw Mika from the corner of my eyes and saw she was still smiling innocently with her eyes focused on me.

She didn't say anything and sat beside me while hugging me from the side and putting the side of her head on mine.

I can hear her heartbeat.."thump" "thump"

And she was muttering something in low voice..." my precious" "my precious"?

My body suddenly shuddered as I heard her.

But soon the guild master returned carrying something in his hand and handed it to Mika with trembling hands.

Mika checked the card and observed it for a good few seconds and smiled softly while passing it to me.

I took the card given to me by Mika and then checked it and my eyes widened seeing its contents.

"...."

I looked at Mika for an explanation but she just smiled at me innocently.

It was a platinum card on which my info and adventurer rank was written.
