It was said that the fruit of Roudia was key to immortality.

A legend.

A very well-known legend.

Almost every Sahalla, young old, everyone, knew this. And they also knew about how a young boy once ate the fruit and transcended to divinity. 

No one knew what happened to the boy afterward. 

But- both legends played quite a bit of significance whenever the topic of searching for the fruit came up.

Everyone wanted the fruit. Some wanted to live forever- while others just wanted to escape their eventual fate- a fate which many condone.

There were some problems, however. 

One, the fruit was really, really small. Two, it was extremely hard to find. And three- the tree only bore one fruit every one hundred years. 

So, the odds of actually finding one were minuscule at best.
