36 Greed and Desire

"Puah… Hah… Hah…" 

A certain slave named Tyle, panted heavily as he dragged his scrawny body along the path towards the Headquarter of Gion Mine. 

Due to him being severely malnourished from the constant lack of food, he was so emaciated that he could hardly stand, and it took all the strength within him to support himself just to avoid collapsing along the dirt path.

Besides him, every other slaves in the Mine were making their way towards the Headquarter as well. Though they were moving with purpose, all of them had a perplexed expression on their faces.

Earlier this morning, the slaves that were sound asleep in the slave quarters were woken up by the Lamia Knights that appeared suddenly in front of them and were instructed to follow them towards the Headquarter of the Mine without any explanation after removing their culling collars.
