Wedding Vows

All the cheers and Morris's explanations were heard by both Nolan and Jasmine.

Nolan was not very surprised, he knew his jasmine was special and always felt lucky to spot her first, So he stayed calm. Jasmine who was already used to many surprises was equally calm.

Their moment was spoiled by the entire clan. Nolan was in low spirits.

"Did they have to barge in like that? It was our moment!!! Once in a lifetime moment", he said sadly.

Jasmine only giggled to this and said," Dear Dear Dear Nolan, Come here", he complied happily, Although he was older than her, she found him more childlike than her.

She pulled him close and let him sit on a rock closeby, His head was on her chest. One hand was gently tapping his back and other was on his hair. It was as If she was saying 'it's okay!' to him .

After sometime, she took out the rings which were on her chain as pendants and said in a gentle tone,

" From where I come from, we celebrate this event, we call it wedding, close friends and family come together and congratulate the couple on their union."

Nolan who was still hugging her asked,"We don't have any rings, honestly I have not seen one before,Just tell me how they look like,I will make them for you", he could sense subtle sadness in her tone.

" No, Don't worry about that, look, I already have rings, My mom used to design couple rings. On my eighteenth birthday she gave these to me, I don't know why, but I always kept them with me since then. "

While she was showing them, tears were running down her cheeks, She was surprised, she almost never cried. Maybe she was missing her parents dearly, this pampered child who once led a carefree and happy life is now in an unknown world, hoping she could survive.

"Hey…The rings..."he had to stop midway seeing her cry

"Why are you crying… Don't cry, Its supposed to be a very happy moment, I promise I will take care of you and love you equally in sickness and in health , I will cherish you till my very last breath", he said kissing her forehead.

Nolan unknowingly told wedding vows, and made the moment even more special. She smiled at this and gave him a ring , "Put it on this finger", pointing her ring finger.

"I Jasmine Carter, take you , Nolan, to be my husband. To have and to hold from this day forward for better, for worse, for richer, for poorer, in sickness and in health, to love and to cherish, till death do us part, according to the God's holy Law; This is my Solemn vow"

With this she put the other ring in his finger and Kissed his hand.

Nolan was shocked by her promise, he felt special, he unceremoniously kissed her on her lips, It started off fiercely with passion, overtime the kiss became gentler.
