The Lord of Screams
I have always loved the sound of a scream there are those of pure joy or pure fear or of anguish there are so many different kinds many called me psychopathic to just want to listen these screams. The screams were always recorded in poor quality though so I set out to create these screams and have them recorded quite well I managed to catalogue 374 different screams each one was music to my ears. I could listen to them all day but it just caused my hunger to grow and then the apocalypse happened with gods giving out gifts to those they deemed worthy.

I had not a single patron as they were called but man did, I still get so many new types of screams to listen to. I found that each person's scream is its own unique experience, so I made it my mission to gather the scream of death from a few awakened I don't care if it's risky I have never heard an awakener's scream. I avoided those with main deities like Zeus or those with mythical abilities like the Oracles or those with foresight.

I picked an apostle of Hypnos he was on his way home from conquering a dungeon I had spent a couple weeks getting to know him putting up a false personality. I mimicked the death scream of those who I had already killed and he begun to run towards my location I had prepared a fake blood trail with my brail and even had a couple organs removed to make it more realistic. I heard his scream of anguish realizing one of the few friends he made was probably dead, so I triggered the trap I set which managed to barely cut off one of his arms.

I stepped out from the shadows and his face was filled with fear and a slight hatred. I then said in a very calm tone "Why don't you scream in anger and betrayal no ones stopping you it even might get you some help." He instead decided to yell at me its sad he could have been one of the few I had gotten to scream in betrayal and anger. I began to feel sleepy due to his powers but the smelling salts I had on me kept me awake.

I began to scream several different types of screams to show him that I was a collector and he couldn't affect me. I screamed of rage, sorrow, anguish, hatred, fear, panic, pain, betrayal, wrath, anger, joy, happiness and most importantly a scream of forgiveness the most beautiful melody I had ever heard. I only wish I had more time with the one who had given me that scream it would have been so interested in seeing that. "Oh are you wondering why your hypnosis doesn't work on me with that small trinket its simply because that doesn't stimulate my subconscious only screams work for me."

I saw his horror and the scream slowly came out as I began to come closer shifting into a scream of death I licked my lips relishing the moment as I cut his neck I only wish I had more time but I still had to collect the recording devices and go on to the next victim.

I don't need a God, Demon, Angel, or Old One to give me power I shall gain it on my own through the delight of screams I wonder if anyone has become a god of screams or a Lord of Screams (Demon usually). I smiled in delight as I thought how I would be collecting more screams.
