An Older Brother, Nothing Else
Lilian Mo placed her chopsticks and wiped her mouth with a napkin.
She waved her hand and pile of fruits appeared on her lap.
"I have a space ability that allows me to store items. It has preservation properties which means any item that I store would not go bad. This is the reason why you three could eat a lot of good food." She explained briefly before taking a bright red apple from the bunch and biting down on it.
The satisfying crunch echoed across the room. Three pair of eyes stared at her with surprise, shock and amazement.
Mizuki Rei was the first to rejoice. "Haha! God has not forsaken us! Having a strong teammate with a space makes everything convenient. Now, everything finally makes sense. I always thought that the bag you were carrying looked too light. Now I finally know that Momo is using it as a cover to hide her ability." He laughed and was no longer reserved, wolfing down the food as if he had been starved for days.
Anyway, he had suffered for a week without being able to eat good food. He was tortured as he watched the three girls enviously while they ate delicious food made by Lilian Mo.
His sufferings have ended. Now was the time to make up for what he had missed!
Lilian Mo stared at Mizuki Rei with judgmental eyes but the latter did not seem to mind and was feasting without a care in the world.
Lilian Mo suddenly felt like regretting her words. This Mr. Ling was eating too much food! She has a space ability but it does not have unlimited stock.
Lilian Mo would still enter every night to plant crops and harvest them. Moreover, handling the animals were not easy at all.
Her placid gaze turned towards Mizuki Rei with a hint of dissatisfaction.
Lin Jiaojiao looked at her savior once more with admiration. Is there nothing that she could not do? Her savior was both beautiful and strong. Moreover, she could cook so well! If this was her sister or even her sister-in-law, Lin Jiaojiao would be happy!
Lin Jiaojiao smiled coyly and leaned towards Lilian Mo. In a shy voice, she spoke, "Big Sister Mo, do you have a boyfriend? If not, then you can try considering my big brother. He has a good temperament and he is still single right now. Big sister Mo would definitely make a good pair with big brother."
Lilian Mo was startled by her suggestion and she was dazed for a while.
Mu Qingqing who was admiring Lilian Mo raised her head when she heard this and immediately sensed danger.
"Momo, don't agree to this! Jiaojiao, Momo is mine! I'll punch anyone that dares to take my Momo away! Only a great man deserves my Momo!" Mu Qingqing said viciously as she hugged Lilian Mo, staring at Lin Jiaojiao like she was a love rival who stole her boyfriend.
Lin Jiaojiao felt awkward and looked down shyly. "Big sister Qingqing, please don't misunderstand. I was only suggesting it. I don't have any ill intentions."
"Momo is mine! I already said this before! Also, my Momo has a fiancé so Jiaojiao must not mention this matter again." Mu Qingqing warned. In truth, she did not care about her Momo's fiancé or whoever it was. Her Momo was still hers.
And her Momo would definitely not marry anyone so casually right now. Her Momo's happiness is her priority! What doctor? What Lin Fang? He must first pass under Mu Qingqing's gaze before he is able to approach her Momo.
Lin Jiaojiao shrank back, feeling terrified at the other girl's sudden temper. "I got it, Big sister Qingqing."
'Unexpectedly, a cute girl is able to possess such a murderous look. Oh... Big Brother, I really want to meet you sooner..' Lin Jiaojiao silently prayed to herself.
At night, the four of them stated at a hotel and each got a room. Lilian Mo was lying on her bed and staring at the ceiling. She waved her hand and produced a wrist watch from her space.
It was already ten in the evening and she was still not feeling sleepy.
She thought about earlier and remembered how Lin Jiaojiao casually mentioned to her to consider her brother, Lin Fang.
Her lips pursed, her eyes turning dull, making her appear more distant.
She had never thought about it before but she found herself thinking about Lin Fang. He was good to her and she owed him in her past life.
He was a vey kind person. Moreover, Lilian Mo had forgotten the number of times he tended to her injuries. Although it could be described as him doing his duty as the doctor of the base, Lilian Mo was aware that he treated her differently.
She knows that it was because Lilian Mo reminded him of Lin Jiaojiao back then which is why he was softer, kinder and gentler towards Lilian Mo.
He might be projecting his feelings for his younger sister towards her and was treating her like a real sibling but nevertheless, it still warmed Lilian Mo's heart. Especially when she had just escaped Lu Jingren's clutches, forever leaving his icy and monotonous attitude and finally immersing herself in a warm, sunny meadow with endless possibilities.
It was a nice feeling to have someone care for you and to wait for you each time you went on a mission. Lilian Mo treasured those days but she also realized that she might care about Lin Fang but not enough to consider a romantic relationship with him.
He was like an older brother to her, nothing else.
