1 Where it all began

Olivia remembers like it was today.

Where it all began.

She sat comfortably at his kitchen table like it was her own home. Strawberries scattered around in a carefully placed basket.

His mom approached and kissed his forehead. The girl giggled as the boy told his mother to go away and stop pestering him.

"What is it with you these days?" Olivia inquired as she picked a strawberry.

"Don't know what you mean." Miller avoided the question, getting up to go turn the music on.

"Is it a girl?" she playfully asked.

"As if I would tell you." he brushed her question.

He sat in the chair beside hers and reached out for the strawberries, but Olivia removed the basket from his reach.

"Let's make a deal. Tell me and as a bonus, I will give you the basket!" she enthusiastically said. "No buts or butts. Tell me already!" There was no way it was a girl right?

"If you tell her I will tell my mom to lock the fridge when you come around!" he sighed

"Remember the girl you spilt your Boba Tea on?" he asked her with a silly face she had never seen in his face.

"Oh, right. She was pretty!" Olivia grew uneasy, but she still wished to be aware for some unknown reason. The only thing she could do was not make this awkward.

"I met her in the convenience store, at the school canteen and in our favourite coffee place. Crazy isn't it?"

"Wow. Crazy." she forced herself to reply. She placed the empty strawberry basket back on the table.

"Do you want more?" Miller questioned.

"I don't want more. I really don't want more. No more, really!" Olivia nervously spoke, her appetite for strawberries had gone away in a second.

"That sounds so wrong. Sounds like... like another thing." he laughed showing that beautiful smile he had and she smiled back seeing the naughty boy she had known since kindergarten.

Now looking back that was the beginning.
