Then I shall grant it

Ages past the world-renowned monk were but a small orphan child. The child struggled to live but was willful he stood in the forest always hunting for food and planting herbs.

On this ordinary morning, he came to the river and used his pails to store the water for his herbs and meal. He walked back slowly as the buckets weighed quite a bit for him but he was in no hurry as he has done this since he could remember now.

He reached his house and stored the water in a huge container that he made to hold all the water he transported at the start of the week. He took the empty buckets back to the river and filled them before undressing and jumping into the clear water.

He swam in the slowly moving river he soon got out and laid on the ground to dry.

After he was sufficiently dried he put on his clothes and walked back to his house to store the water he gained. As he got close he saw a person near his house he was looking at the small hut the boy hid behind a tree and watched the figure that stood in front.

The figure had black robes he had a black and red mask on his face it looked like a fox or a wolf with a single red crystal-like horn at the forehead of the mask. The man had a sword with many runes on his back and another black sword with a single red ribbon at his left.

"Child, did you create this little place?" the man said his voice sounded young and it carried a calming effect.

The boy stayed silent as he was still wary of the man. The man turned into an afterimage as he appeared in front of the boy his eyes had a red glow that was magnified by the mask.

The boy jumped back in fright but before he fell the man reached out and grabbed the boy stopping him from falling and hitting his behind.

"So did you build this child?" the man asked again as he let the child go.

"Yes I did why?" the boy said as he made distance even though he knew he couldn't escape the man if he wanted.

"I was just interested that's all." the man said as he looked at the hut.

"Who are you?" the boy asked.

"Isn't it common courtesy to introduce yourself before asking one that?" the man replied with a small chuckle as he looked at the boy.

"I don't have a name I'm an orphan." the boy said with sullen eyes.

"Well that is crappy but not everyone can have everything we can only hope to be the things we don't have."

"But if you wish to know my name it's twilight quite cringe if I do say so but I have it for a reason." the man said as he looked to the sky his eyes turning a deep crimson before returning to a bright red again.

Twilight and the boy talked before the man left saying he would return again. The man returned each day and brought many different items he thought the boy many things from simple asthmatics to cultivation. Once the boy became ten he set out to the city in hopes of making a name like the stories he heard of.

The boy joined a temple he furthered his study of cultivation and sought the main technique of the temple which would allow him to control time. The boy who was now named Skuld a name from the far continents that the man visited. Skuld considered the man a great friend and a father figure he learned many things by talking to the man one thing skuld realized was the man never aged but he couldn't actually tell as the man always wore his mask.

Skuld reached the cross tribulation realm at the age of 500 be one of the youngest to do so on that day he went to meet his friend in the European continent he flew for a few days as the distance between him and Europe was truly far.

The day he arrived at the city of ombreck near the border of the frenzet kingdom he witnessed a gory scene as many gods were strung about on the streets. Each God was at least at the heavenly God realm but they looked as if they died in one attack from the ones that were still in one piece.

He flew and found the last few gods fight twilight these surviving gods were each at the immortal ascension realm. just a push and they would be rejected from the world and ascend into true immortals. But how they were crippled and beaten men and woman as they fought the man.

The man used his rune sword to slice the gods into meat cubes. The mask on his face cracked as it transformed into armor that covered his body tightly. His face was young but that didn't shock him what did was that he knew this man. The man was Odin the God from the northern tundra but it was said he was many gods as well but he knew for sure he was at least at the immortal ascension.

"Are you surprised kido it seems you've broken through congrats but I'm quite busy so I must go I have a many gods to kill today and I also need my two little assistance to help." Odin or twilight said as he flew up and disappeared into the distance heading to the adrotenic continent he was either going to fight Eden or get his companions.

During the month many gods fell as massive storms sunk continent's down into the deep waters. many storms hit the many countries and plagued spread as the war continued against the one they called the slayer of gods.

Skuld reached mortal ascension very quickly since not many gods were left to absorb the energy of the world and they left their energy behind when they died. He knew the end of the war was near as most gods had died one day he opened his eyes and looked down from the top of mount kali he saw Odin fly towards him at a slow speed. Landing next to him Odin watched as the sunset with skuld.

"Are you here to kill me?" skuld asked as he watched the sun fully set.

"No, I'm here to progress the world to the next stage," Odin said as he used his ruled cover sword to slice at the earth causing the mountain to split this continued until half the world split before a shocking scene appeared.

The word appeared the same as it was but he could feel the energy was gone and that the world had shrunk down to a tiny piece of what it used to be. Skuld felt sick at the absence of energy but he got adjusted quickly.

After this event he never met Odin again he dispersed he found out many events he remembered changed. gods and continent's disappeared and these people were more primitive. The cultivators that excited though weak were considered gods the weak magical beast that roamed became creatures of myth. They all soon died out as humanity advanced.

Skuld lived his life in seclusion he reached his ten thousands before he heard a voice call out to him.

[would you like to go beyond this world and learn more there is to offer?]

"Yes." skuld said absent-mindedly he felt an intense spatial distortion appear around him but before he could react he was sucked into the spatial anomaly. He appeared atop a mountain with many surrounding mountains around him. Each peak had a figure the higher the peak the more they looked like Normal men but those below looked like mummified corpses.

Skuld looked at the screen and felt as if he was shackled by invisible chains. He tried for years to break free without success on the fiftieth year he gave up and decided to cultivate he felt the energy around him though faint it was still pure.

He cultivated his art of time and the minimums passed he soon opened his eyes and saw the man from long ago the man he considered a friend and a father he had finally come to bring him to rest.

"Twilight you have come please free me from these chains that bind me lay me to rest for my time has ended long ago." the man spoke in his old language as he started at Odin his sunken eyes had hope in finally dying.

"Then I shall grant it."
