In search for a lost technology

'So it's here?'Sigewulf said as he looked at the vibrant world below.

'Yes from what I can remember it's should be combat black drive.'

'What are black drives anyway are they just storage devices that are black or something?'

'No, they are called black drives because they were outlawed a hundred years before the age of strife consider them small computers that specialize in a field connected into a human's brain.'

'So it's an ai that focuses on combat but aren't the ai in this world very shitty as you've said?'

'Yes they are just machines without consciousness just like humans.'

'But I have a conscious.'

'Barely most of the things you do is based of instincts the standard human is 89% instinct and 11% conscious free will.'

'But do not fret as me being with you has slowly started to change your mind but whether you think this is a gift or curse that's is up to you in the end.'

Sigewulf fell into silence as he digested what he heard what Odin said didn't break his mind or shock him. He felt fine but still it felt weird being told the facts he thought back to when he was on the earth and he saw people talk about how they were not animals because they could think while the animals couldn't.

'Can humanity ever become truly conscious?'

'The age of ascendance back in the 42nd millennium saw the day were humanity became free and was the age where they became feared it was no longer being able to tell the actions and morals of someone each being was caple of evil and could truly become it.'

'Remember humanity is neither good or evil even the most evilest human is a saint compared to the future humanity.'

'Can good or evil even be quantified?'

'Yes everything can but it doesn't mean you can understand it.'

'Then where do you stand?'

'10 on evil and 10 on good the same as god.'

As the ship landed on the world Sigewulf put on his helmet and exited the ship.

'So where is it?'

'I don't have the exact location but I can tell you it's to your left ten miles away.' Odin said.

Sigewulf started his walk to the area as he got closer he heard the sound of talking he crouched and activated his armors stealth tech.

'I thought you said there were no inhabitants?'

'Never did all I said was there was an STC and other shit here never said there wouldn't be a living being.'

'I guess it's my fault should have still prepared if there was after all it's been sixteen thousand years anything can change.'

'You should remember to ask noctem to scan the world anytime you approach one it should help you.'

'Yup I'll save that for later.' Sigewulf said as he approached the clearing.

As he reached the clearing he saw a huge lion attacking a group of men in robes the group was covered in wounds. The lion was roaring and visible sound waves appeared that attacked the men before one of the shorted men blocked it using a barrier.

'Psykers?' Sigewulf said as he saw the man raise a barrier from the ground.

'You know this kinda reminds me of those cultivators I'm expecting for one of them to say some cringe skill move name.' Odin said and the next second his expectation was met

"Heavenly chaos sun and moon wind and ice sword slash first move seventh style!" a man yelled as he did a simple sword slash that bounced off the lion's nose.

'The name was better than whatever he just did I at least expected it to have some energy in it.' Odin said as Sigewulf aimed and fired his bolter.

The two shots of the bolter pierced the lion's skull and killed it in a mere fraction of a second. The group looked at the area the sound came from and saw a huge armored man holding a weird item.

Sigewulf calmly walked out and inspected the lion before shooting two more times to be sure it was dead. He then looked at the group and slowly walked up to them he lowered his weapon and deactivated his silent steps.

At that point, the group realized that Sigewulf was silent the entire time and could finally hear his thumbs as he walked in his armor.

"Thank you hero you saved us from that demon beast we can't thank you enough we are indebted to you!" one of the men at the front said as he walked up to Sigewulf.

He bowed and cupped his hand in greeting before getting a better look at Sigewulf's armor.

'Be careful that psyker has a weird energy signature it's like he's a pure mage.' Odin warned as he looked at the psyker in the rear.

"Its not a problem I was exploring one less beast is good for us all isn't it?" Sigewulf said as he tried to blend into the world as best he could.

'Your blending skills are horrendous have you forgotten your physical appearance?' Odin said as his mental form appeared near the men.

The group could not see him as he wasn't there but Sigewulf saw a large black wolf looking down at the men. his mouth was barely opened but it could easily eat the entire group in one bite.

Sigewulf had seen this before so he wasn't surprised. during the exploration of a planet near the eye of terror a weird creature had assaulted his mind but odin had saved him by devouring the creature. This allowed him to appear in the physical world but he couldn't interact with it.

'Is there any creature nearby?' Sigewulf asked Odin.

Odin disappeared and reappeared in an instant he looked at the north and spoke.

"Twenty dead kids north four cubs east 100 ants south and 1 bird in the west.'

'Anything special about any of them?'

'Birds a phoenix but that's irrelevant the ants are what matters they're a special species called golden God ants they can produce draconic gold which can help in your cultivation.'

'I see I'll try getting them.'

'I doubt it they may be recently hatched but they're at the heavenly prince realm so they'll kill you instantly.'

'Then any plans?'

'Make a covenant with them.' Odin said as he reentered Sigewulf's mind.

"Hello, mister?" the man said as he waved his hand inform of Sigewulf face.

Sigewulf broke out of his conversation and looked at the man before speaking.

"Sorry I was scanning the area to make sure there weren't more of them."

"Oh you are a scout?" the man said.

"No, but after my time of adventuring I have learned many things I may not be a master but I'm better than a master of one." Sigewulf said as he made an excuse. he was confused about what he meant by scout he knew it didn't mean a normal scout maybe a psyker that could view his surroundings.

"I see I doubt there is any strong beast here as this is the outskirts of the forest but as you saw that lion proved my statement wrong again thank you for saving us my name is Zhou Fu."

'Called it this is a world that became a shitty cultivation world heed my advice kill everyone they'll just betray you in the next second.' Odin said as black mist rose from the ground and consumed the men before dissipating.

The men were affected and didn't even see the mist but they felt their hair stand on end as if death was staring at them.

"Well, Zhou Fu I hope you can guide me to the nearest town I'm not very familiar with this place," Sigewulf said as he holstered his weapon.

The group looked at each other before the man spoke again.

"Of course, we were about to head to two before the lion arrived come ill treat you to some dumplings." the man said as he started to walk towards the group.

Sigewulf followed them and stayed at the back in case they tried something.
