A return to earth
"Take care of the shop I'm going to earth to get something." Odin said to the doll as he stepped out the door. He appeared a few light-years away outside the barrier that hides earth from the other races and vice versa. He inspected the barrier to make sure it still worked which it did this barrier was mostly made to hide the outside instead of the inside. if a space-faring civilization were to map the region it would show as a void but you could see that there were planets. this was made mostly so earthlings wouldn't contact other races until after they reached a sufficient level because of this the entire milky way was put in a void. the barrier would easily mess with the instruments of the earth to make the place empty of any life there could be a war right outside this barrier and no one would see it.
Of course, sometimes some races would accidentally or intentionally enter which would lead to two different scenarios. if they intentionally went trying to take earth or any nearby planets their civilization would be destroyed and erased by the guardian star. if it was accidentally then they would have to hide and slowly find a way to leave. the oldest of the milky way civilizations know of this so they don't bother but to the new ones that is a different story.
Odin slowly headed towards earth once he reached he looked at the planet. this planet held so much long ago but now it only holds useless memories. "Why have you come Odin it's not yet time for them." an aged voice said in odins mind Odin looked at the sun this star was not normal this was a sentient weapon that protected earth. if any race were to invade earth or the barrier the sun would erase them. the power in this star could destroy reality if need be this was the last gift Odin gave to humanity. "I came to get something I left long ago and maybe see some old friends if they are alive," Odin said as he looked back to earth. "Maybe kill someone as well." with that Odin entered the earth he stood above the ocean looking he soon looked to his left.
'Seems someone got my sword but how is the question.' Odin thought it was truly a wonder since this sword was stabbed in the lowest depth of the sea where humanity's birthplace was before the end of the God era. this sword sealed the energy of the world. so Odin placed it on earth so no one would use it, but it seems someone has it now but they don't know how to use it.
Odin switched from his armor that he had on to a simple black jacket and cargo pants his grey eyes stared off into the distance his white hair became black soon Odin vanished appearing in New York. the last time he was here was when he fought in the third coalition war after the fifth apocalypse disaster. Odin looked at the building from his angle if anyone were to look they would just see tinted windows. even if they weren't it was too far to see anything inside but Odin saw a man no older than thirty with a sword near him. he was looking through documents about his new properties. This man was wealthy very wealthy this person was actually rich not like the ones shown in the public. comparing these hidden ones to the public ones was like comparing a person with a penny to a person with billions. This man was already 150 years old he had grand ambitions when he was young even now he still had the same goal help humanity. he always donated to organizations that would help but even if he had good goals he couldn't show it to the public. a man with his wealth could still be killed an he feared that if he was his wealth would be taken an used for evil so he only sent little amounts to not be traced. Odin liked this man even with all his wealth he understood that it was useless. Odin walked into the building he was ignored by the people since he was invisible. he phased through the door to the man's office and sat in front of him.
"Hello, Mr.Edward," Odin said as he revealed himself this startled the man. He grabbed his sword and pointed it in front of Odin the sword soon became heavy to the man and it fell breaking the desk. "It seems I scared you I apologize for that I mean no harm I just wish to take back my sword my name is Odin." the man stared at Odin he saw that he stretched out his arm to shake his hand Edward took odins hand and shook it out of instinct. Odin picked up the sword and looked at it the sword it looked like it was barely created. the energy that was in this sword was immense even though Edward didn't know how to use the abilities it had the energy from the sword made his body above the peak of humans his life span without the sword right now would let him reach a few thousand.
"But I see that you are a good man so I will trade for it I will give you information about this sword and history that I erased and a low-grade gene enhancer formula," Odin looked back at Edward. the desk that broke was repaired on it was a new paper it was a contract. Edward looked at it the contract was very simple. Odin would give him what he promised in return for the sword but he couldn't use the gene enhancer until humanity conquered their solar system. even then he would have to wait until they were invaded by other races he couldn't reveal any of this information unless someone signs the subcontract that would bind their life and lineages.
"Why must I wait until then if I can use the gene enhancer wouldn't it help humanity?" Edward said as he looked at Odin he didn't know much about the formula but it should help people maybe most diseases would be cured even disabilities. "Simple this may be a low-level enhancer but that's only to us just a few of the effects would change everything this will make a toddler able to lift a few tons without any exercise their life expectancy would be in the thousands," Odin said this shocked Edward if that was just some of the effects then it could easily cure many diseases. even ones that didn't have cures but soon it struck Edward why Odin wanted to wait. for Edward to hide for so long required intelligence so he soon found why it would be a problem the extended life if one could easily live a thousand years they would be very unmotivated. humanity might end up becoming earthbound until there world dies. even now humans have become unproductive the population is also a problem if the current 7 billion people all got the enhancer the stress on the planet would be immense it would cause a struggle to life.
"I see what you mean but still there must be other things to help humans," Edward said if Odin could give this enhancer then he could easily give other medicines. "I'll only give these no more of course if you can fully study the enhancer it should have the solutions to your problem.
"also the contract will be for a hundred thousand years for the length of the contract you will live and help humanity this shall be my final gift to you humans," Odin said with a smile. "Why do you say it as if you aren't human you are one as well," Edward said confused Odin said it as if humans were a type of ape.
"Yes that is true I am but see it this way how do you feel about apes?" Odin said as he looked out the window.
" they are a relative to you but you really don't care maybe you find it funny when they do something but you really don't see it as an equal. even though your difference is only a percent that percent has allowed you to think about the grand universe and to have Sentience." odins hair turned white his gray eyes showed a bundle of stars that shines brightly.
"It's the same to me you are the ape that makes it sound like you are still high up on the human pyramid. considering there are a hundred levels of Sentience apes are at 100 and you are at 99."odin raised his hand on his palm appeared a pyramid with the list of humans.
"I am at the top the most thought-full questions to you are but a mere insignificant though to me you may wonder how the universe came into existence to me it's simple." Odin then changed the pyramid into a dark mist.
"when a piece of the abyss becomes unstable it leads to the creation of reality. allowing even smaller realities to come becoming the multiverse these unstable matters expand in the space where no abyss exists until they finally touch the stable abyss and return to being just that the abyss." the black mist soon had a flash of light that light made the surrounding mist move away. soon more lights flashed smaller than the first soon they expanded until they became one and soon touched the mist. And slowly the light became smaller and the turned into mist.
"the most common form of abyss type is the black hole it is both stable and unstable this is also the reason mathematics exists. in the abyss, there is only nothing but zeros but once it becomes unstable the numbers appear but this is the most dumbed-down explanation I can say since if I were to go into detail your mind would just collapse." Odin said as he lowered his hand Edward was stunned this man just told him how the universe came to be as if it was nothing. was this truly the top human evolution could humanity ever reach it?
"So will you sign the contract Mr. Edward or not?" Odin stared at Edwards his stary eyes became gray once more. Edwards looked at the contract once more he took the pen and signed the paper it would take a while but he will finish the goal that he promised to his parents so long ago. The contract floated a soon it was consumed in a white flame a folder appeared and a small bottle was with it.
"This is the formula and this is the enhancer drink this one so you can protect yourself. I have given you a hundred thousand years of life and you will not die even if you were to be turned into atoms but you could still be captured. to you, a hundred thousand years may seem long but remember even if you reach that age you are still not even an infant to other beings." Odin said he swiped his hand and a bottle of whiskey appeared. Edward took the bottle and opened the cap the medicinal fragrance was light but he felt as if he had the strength to destroy a planet he drank the liquid as Odin drank from the whiskey bottle.
Edward soon felt his body change his muscles became bigger and soon they became smaller but he felt even stronger. his eyesight improved he could now easily see the grain of the wood on the other side of the office with such detail and clarity. his hearing improved he could hear the conversations outside he could hear his heartbeat but soon it stopped. he tried listening to odins heartbeat but soon found that he wasn't even breathing nor did he have a heartbeat no blood was flowing.
"Yeah about that my heart is kinda different if I were to let it pump it would have so many stimulants that I wouldn't be able to stay calm and I don't breathe because it's just too tiring," Odin said as he looked at Edward he just finished the bottle of whiskey. Odin soon placed his elbows on Edwards's desk and said.
"So what do you wanna know about the sword and the erased history?"
