A rant or whatever/what are you?

Darkness was everywhere here but in the vision of the residents here, there was no darkness just a calm sea. Odin was submerged in this darkness he saw the massive figures that swam in the darkness they watched Odin there massive eyes the many limbs all passed by.

Odin was calm he watched the figures swim last him with interest. Soon the darkness lightened and a figure appeared near Odin the presence of this person caused more of these creatures to appear smaller than the rest but still present.

Serena looked around in confusion she came here to try to bring Odin out since the other couldn't reach him but instead of a room, it was a dark area with strange figures swimming around.

"Why are you here?" Odin asked as he continued looking at the creatures.

"Odin asked me to tell you he has something important to talk about with you." Serena soon looked at the back of Odin.

"I see do you know what it is about?"

"I don't."

"Well, I'll soon go out but for now, just join me."

Odin gestured for her to come towards him and Serena soon joined him. She sat down and looked at the creatures she has never seen creatures like this what type of Xeno is this was her thought.

"Where are we and what are these things?"

"This is the sea of regrets also known as the domain of regrets and these as you can guess are regrets."

"Regrets so these are your regrets?"

"Yes but yours are also here look over there," Odin said as he pointed to a figure of a woman who was badly injured missing limbs and a sword pierced her heart. Serena recognized this woman this person was the one she deeply regretted losing this woman was like a mother to her and her death was something she wished she could change.

"See regrets here take shape as either something you've lost or said that you regret the size determines how grave they are."

"So these are your regrets?" Serena pointed to a figure it looked like an endless mass of tentacles and teeth at times the mass moved and eyes appeared starting at her soul.

"Yes these are mine these regrets are my hope"

"Hope? Shouldn't these be things you should let go of?"

"To you, mortals or any being that is with fate regrets should be things you let go with time but for me, it's the opposite."

Odin got up from his crossed position and walked towards one of the creatures.

"You see I have no fate I am the one that decided what happens every action every thought everything is made by me you are just a pawn you have no free will and those that have it wish to return to being a pawn." Odin stood a few feet away from the figure but the figure didn't do anything even though its eyes said it wished to devour him.

"You mortals are controlled by gods, gods are controlled by elder gods and it continues until it's me I roll the dice and decide what you do"

"The reason why most with free will choose to become pawns is simply that they wished to live in an illusion of a false happiness. They sought to be eternally happy but soon realized that it was an eternal hell so they choose sadness instead since they would live in eternal happiness instead."

"I truly envy you, you can just move with life your only complaints are about pointless things but instead I have to walk a path I don't know anything about."

Odin reached out to the creature but it instead moved away from odins reach. Soon Odin turned around and grabbed Serena and they swam above a small island was in the middle of the endless sea. Both of them landed Odin lead her to the middle in front was a bonfire the fire was black and dark runes appeared this was the fire of the guardian the fire was made to keep the guardian sane from the eternal darkness and loneliness.

"You know I wasn't always like this back then I didn't care for power I didn't kill randomly for nothing. I was a simple young man I was abandoned by my parents in my village you see I lived in the north and it was extremely cold no food would grow so my parents decided to throw me out."

"I found a sword it was rusted but it still was better than my weak body so I left the village my first kill was an animal it was by no means easy it had a hard skin but the meat was so worth it to my staved self."

"After wandering I soon encountered a village the jarl was trying to take a girl that he took to his liking the parents sold her since they could have food. As I watched I felt a connection with the girl it was different things but the cause was the same we were abandoned."

"I took the same rusted sword and I stabbed the jarl in the throat and took the girl with me. We ran far and at that time my world was still very primitive but soon we found a city to us a city was something completely different we considered it as a huge mega village."

"Instead of a jarl there was someone called a jaken which in ancient dran means king. But we tried finding a place to stay so we became adventures finding valuable resources to sell so we could find a home. By the age of 15 two years after leaving my village I became the top dog with the girl."

"By eighteen we decided to date I was titled the rusted swordsmen because of the rusted sword I had on me I always tried to remove the rust but if I did the sword would break so I never went with it. During my time of adventuring, I learned all crafts I had no talent but my determination brought me to being the best."

" at twenty I became the king of the city which was now actually a kingdom at the time of my crowning it was a stormy night but once the crown was placed upon me the wind and rain settled becoming a calm night hence my title as the emperor of the calm night."

"A few months after that we got married and 3 months after that we tried for a child." Odin looked at the sea and had a smile the mood around him became bright Serena could feel an endless warmth that surrounded her like someone was protecting her with everything."

"At 23 we expanded our kingdom to all of the northern areas and with that, we heard the news of a king proclaiming himself as the ruler and savior of us he said I was a dark demon and the king of lies." the mood soon turned dark Serena felt as if a beast was staring at her she felt that it was best if she killed herself so she wouldn't be at the end of this beast teeth.

"After so much war at 31, I fought the 'king of truths' for the final time me and her and my army I fought taking everyone with my sword and scythe and she fought with her spear and shield. But soon as all things it took a turn as she fell to the blade of a foot soldier. She always liked to jump into the fray and at that time I was so focused on the generals and the king that I didn't join her."

"By the time I found out she was already seriously bleeding out I was exhausted I couldn't use healing magic to even stop the bleeding the potions I had were already used up and the ones she had were either taken or destroyed by the enemy."

"Aa she passed she left me with the simple words of 'be strong' you know it's possible to die from a broken heart after suffering enough stress the muscles of the organ deform naturally in most cases you will survive and you'll be back to normal but when you fight like me it very likely your at your last leg and all it takes is one little flick and the dominos fall."

"From what my right hand recounted I just slumped down as the generals tired getting to me I soon stood up dark mist entered my body and my eyes became white the rusted sword that was at my back started to shake and soon the rust was gone what was left was a white sword that was so bright. From my will to live and my hope to keep my promise my sword awakened I mindlessly slashed at the army when my arms were cut I used my legs and when they left I just used my teeth after a few minutes my limbs returned and I repeated the same."

"I fought the twenty generals and the king myself after killing his entire army. He didn't stand a chance at all with the immense power I had I used healing magic to heal him and slowly torture him. The only reason I stopped was that my generals calmed me I soon awoke hours later and I realized that I should be dead all my bodily functions had stopped but yet I lived."

"I used my magic to keep my wife in stasis and buried her in the first tower of my kingdom's wall. I tried using my magic to revive her but it didn't work it went on for years until I decided to search out in the world. My son was fifteen at the time I crowned him and left I wandered the world but it was for naught I came back at 81 my grandson was king. I came to the tower that she was buried in and I rested laying near her coffin and I let go I wanted to rest."

"Later on I awoke just briefly but I realized a lot and soon learned of where I was. I was born as one of my decedents my kingdom was now an empire conquering almost all the world. To me this was useless but what rekindled my hope was the technology there were things I couldn't imagine like spaceships galactic planetary weapons and much more."

"I soon took a role I couldn't do much since my decedent controlled everything but I tried guiding him he suffered when I awoke it was because the incompetent father killed him the child was five and he was doing live combat if I didn't use sacrificial magic he would have died. And it continued he watched his siblings being tortured and killed and he couldn't do anything my hatred grew towards them they were my decedents but did this?"

"After a long road of suffering, he gave up I still remember as he pleaded for me to end his life and I did I took over his body and restarted rising to power in many ways it didn't matter what if I had to kill I kill, did I have to enslave a species to gain power then I will it didn't matter I slaughter worlds just in hopes for power and I was soon feared in the entire universe."

"But after that I awoke a few years back to continue the journey and learn more about me of course to me it's a few years but I woke up aeons ago."

Odin stared at the fire as he finished soon he got up and looked at Serena.

"Sorry for that rant or whatever it was it feels good to have some other person to talk to than a clone of you or your subconscious or other personalities you know?"

"Let's go boring Odin wants to train you so let's take you but tell me what are you?"
