1 – The Usual?

Gary had a blank look, staring at the immeasurable white space stretching far beyond what he could see.

Along with the white orb that continues to float in front of him.

"Gary Stupert. You have died." The white orb exclaimed, barely dramatic and more bored.

Gary arched an eyebrow, but nodded anyways.

"Understanble. Have a nice day." Gary replied without any glee, closing his eyes once more to feel the instant of emptiness death gave.

To his dismay when nothing happened.

"Are you not going to ask for... something?" The white orb asked. Gary couldn't see, but he swore the orb shrugged.

"Nope. But, I'll take whatever you give." Gary replied, nothing much to his tone.

...

The 2 stared at each other for a while. Soon, the orb floated away and came back a few seconds later.

Along with him was aroulette. 3 different slots.

"Here. I think you're the type of guy to just swallow stuff and act accordingly." Added the white orb as it places the slot in front of Gary.

Gary scanned the roulette, finding nothing particularly weird about it and nodded.

"Back then, I used to give stuff to reincarnated people. No reason at all, just the ones I happen to pick up. It was all fine and dandy until my last one found his way back here and literally demanded me to give him more powers to protect his harem." He said randomly, it huffed a bit at the end before spinning around the roulette.

"As you can see, I agreed anyways, he asked something about being a God so I made him one." The god added further.

"Anyways, I don't want a repeat of that so I'm going to try my new version on you. It's simple, spin the roulette and whatever category it chooses, that's the type of powers you can pick from. The limit is 3, as you can see" He explained floating on top of the lever.

Gary nodded again. Not really feeling up to it, but what was he supposed to say to some power granting orb? Plus, he had the feeling it would just ignore him.

He placed his hands– that were somehow physical– and pulled on the lever.

He then realized that despite looking like aroulette, it was more or less a magical slot machine with random words appearing as it spun.

Gary watched it spin, and eventually slow down.

It showed his 3 categories of possible things to wish for.

[Physical Buffs]

[Concept Boosters]

[Abstract Powers]

"Hm. Interesting categories there. So, anything comes to mind?" The white orb asked.

Gary stared at the 3.

...

He really had no idea. It was probably every teenager's dream to be on his position right now, but for Gary, he couldn't care less.

But, he knew that if he rejected this, someone out there would be angry at him and it would be the end of the first chap- I mean all the stuff.

He racked up his brains, anything that he remembered. Sure, he could go and ask something busted, but he doesn't really feel like being over powered.

In fact, if he had a choice, he simply wished to maybe be normal.

It was impossible, but it was worth the thought.

He continued to think.

"Maybe something like attracting money? Or stuff similar to that" Gary suggested for his first choice.

The white orb spawned a golden ball and inserted it into Gary.

"That was Golden Rule. It does exactly as you described and counts towards the Concept Boosters, as attracting money is one." The white orb informed.

Gary nodded. He knew that it was maybe a waste of wish, but he didn't really care. He was just glad he thought up of something.

"What's physical buffs?" Gary asked suddenly.

"Physical boosts, super speed or strength among other things" The white orb explained.

Gary had something click inside him, sure he didn't, and was not really an avid fan of anything in particular.

But, he remembered his friend ranting about stupidly overpowered powers. It sounded physical, so he might as well just pick it.

"Err... something called Combo Star?" Gary asked unsurely. The orb took out a bright yellow ball and the same as before, he inserted it inside Gary.

"Combo Star, it basically adds a set amount of force for each hit you make at an enemy undisturbed. Just as it is named. It's infinite in that it really just depends on how long can you combo, I'm sure it could even kill me if it hits long enough" The white orb came to the rescue with explanations again, albeit he was slightly apprehensive at the last bit.

Gary wryly smiled. He had no such plans.

He then immediately focused on the last one, he knew what abstract meant and judging from how it sounded...

It was probably a category of custom power. He summarized the 2 wishes he got and thought of something that somehow fits with at least one.

"Um. How about a power that makes areas where time is stopped?" Gary suggested to himself, but it was more or less only heard by the white orb.

"The Abstract Powers is a ridiculous boon. Anything else you wish to add?" The white orbed asked.

"Err. Maybe anything I can move inside it? And the size is freely altered by me?" He added with a little head tilt. The look of a person who was unsure if he guessed his significant other's birthday correctly.

"Ok. The power is called Temporal Bubble" The white orb, this time created a purple ball and inserted it inside Gary.

"Now, that's that. Have a fun life!" The white orb added. Then, Gary felt himself dispersing into many different motes of light.

"Phew. That was a rare kid at his specific day and age" The white orb commented, soon another person appeared in front of him.

"WOOOOO I'M GETTING ISEKAI'D?!" The loud person shouted.

The white orb sighed.

"Well, there goes my next one, the usual ones"
