CHAPTER 5: BITTER AWAKENING

I walked on the soil of Colossus and saw houses forming and cities standing.

Then the vril Key floated in the air and landed in the Keepers hand. "It is done"

He handed me the vril key, "not yet"

I held the vril key up and the key opened releasing the essence of the fallen from the war with Umbrella.

Many survivors were brought back from the brink of death. This is working a lot better than I anticipated. I walked and saw recognizable landscapes. All around our world was created. "Now it's done" I told the keeper. "Monty"

The Keeper pointed to the portals behind us. Six figures emerged from a portal and the head figure was Monty. "You've failed Jp and you know it"

"Failed? Hahahaha! I've succeeded, mankind will rise within decades of time of peace prosperity, without your help"

I was amused, "you couldn't defend the Earth from the Experimental T-virus and yourself, you let Mankind Die"

"Well well well, if you hadn't split Us up maybe Raccoon City would still be standing and a few billion lives, how can you be protectors of peace when we're risking our lives doing your job?!" John yelled.

"The t-virus isn't our doing, it's a plant base chemical umbrella started messing with to stop aging disease and many more viruses, We live because of one thing, 115, and you failed to do the one thing and that is protect mankind"

"Then the consequence"

"Erased from Existence"

"You can't, Monty! You know you can't do that! There's something else you were supposed to tell us"

"I could do that"

"No you will!"

"We made a deal if You were still alive at the end of this, then I'd honor our deal, what about him?"

Monty looked at me, I pulled out my Blade and he held his blade. "Don't do this, you fight our deal is done for"

"What deal?" I looked at her with a stern look.

"Ohh Jp, how do I say this?"

She looked at Monty for guidance. "Back in June of 1998, Sierra and Jp were sent to some fucking forest in the United States where they thought their troubles from the second war was over, then some time passed by it was September, the events of the Hive had already taken place, Sierra had found out that she not only had power in her blood but in her body as well"

"What power?"

"Bollocks, Not power, your power Jp, yours"

I remembered that night in the forest, me and Sierra made love in some cabin. She couldn't have been. "Our Children are dead"

"If only that we're true, hows your wound Sierra?"

I looked at Sierra and she lifted up her shirt showing me a cut wound around her stomach. "Umbrella had found out that you had not only one but Two children and tried to turn them against you now that would have been tragic, Sierra would have died if it wasn't for me saving her life and she is the reason you all are still existing, her life force is the reason you all live, just kidding that's a joke right there, You both had a little Boy and a little Girl, Jade and James, but all for the price of that Key"

"Why is this important to you?"

"Everything has happened this day on that account it's only for safe Keeping"

"Do it Jp" Sierra told me.

"Live today Rest tomorrow die another 100 years later, were home now" John told me. "I don't like it either Jp, but they are your children" Myka was right too.

"Let me see them" I asked Monty. Two capsules appeared. I sighed and passed him the vril key. "All of this created by this thing, on your account"

"I had a job to do, I wasn't around for the time being"

"Yet here you are at the end of it, you were given one job to do!"

"You should not have split them up, I'm only one I can't keep track of who they meet or what they do, I was infected by the T-virus, they saved me of that, killing me would have doomed them all so that key belongs to Jp, take me back and they no longer need a damn baby sitter"

Monty tossed me the key and I caught it, "we'll deal with you soon enough"

The Keepers disappeared draining the life force from the Keeper now he was just human. "Why?" I didn't understand.

"You saved me, and I've been given second chance to live, only lives that matters are your children, go now, I've done my part in all this, but beware, Wesker and Isaacs still breathe as we speak, here and now"

How could they?

I looked at the Vril key, "of course, thank you for everything"

"Call me Otis, Sebastian Otis, farewell Jp"

I looked at our children, "they did things to me, things I cannot explain, it was the reason I hated Umbrella, the apocalypse and the death of our children and me"

I felt her wound and saw a vision. She was strapped to a table trying to break free but she was restrained. "Please don't touch them, don't take my babies, no please!"

They had a bone saw then injected her with a sedative.

She opened the Capsule and picked up Jade. I picked up James and carried him to the furthest house. I felt something in me. I saw a hilltop behind the houses and saw a figure overlooking the valley. It was Isaacs. He only stared back and I just looked away and brought James inside the house.

We were home now that's all that matters.
