Red Sanity

when they were able to get the Projection onto a table, they were trying to find out what Lint did to the Projectionist, but sadly Lint couldn't make himself glow so they had to stop for a break. during that break, Lint got an idea. "the Projectionist was going crazy or insane and Sammy is insane, maybe I should see if I can use my powers on him." he thought and grabbed Sammy's hand scaring the prophet with a red glow surrounding the two.

"so I was right, my power only works for those who are crazy or insane." Lint said as the light died down. "but I don't think i have control when it happens." he added and tried to pick up Sammy. Lint looked at Sammy after putting him on the table next to the Projectionist, he realized that he had never seen Sammy without the bendy mask that he wore, so Lint move the mask to the side of Sammy's head to see his face. Surprisingly, Sammy didn't have a face which made Lint feel sorry for Sammy that Sammy felt like he had to hide the fact that he didn't have a face, so lint put the mask back in its place. 

after Sammy woke up, Lint asked Sammy if it was okay to show his face but Sammy said that he didn't have one. "Sammy, one of my dads told me that if you try to be like others you'll never get to your true goal." Lint said and got his behind the mask. "who-who was your dad?" Sammy tried to whisper but Lint heard it. "my dads' names were Sammy () and Norman Polk." Lint said slightly moving the mask so he could see Sammy's face again. "there, you don't look bad, maybe you should try keeping the mask off." Lint suggested and left Sammy to let him be alone for some time. 

once Lint was out of sight, Sammy took off his mask completely and looked at. "Why did I even wear this?" he murmured and smashed it into a couple pieces. Sammy tried to find something to see his face but failed, so he went back to the table that still had the Projectionist on top of. Sammy tried to put pieces of the puzzle together; was he Lint's dad, was he human once, did he even have a life before the machine? 

when the others got back, they found the little room they were staying in was trashed with ink splattered everywhere and Sammy and the Projectionist were gone. Lint started to feel worried his friends got hurt while they weren't looking, but Alice said that they had to find Henry before the demon found them. the kids followed but slightly behind the angel and wolf to talk. Timothy and Lorra were trying to calm Lint down, so that he wouldn't feel guilty for their friends getting hurt. luckily Timothy knew one thing that made Lint smile no matter what the situation was. "hey Lint, want to scare the wolf and angel?" timothy asked but Lint shocked his head, so Timothy shrugged and charged at Alice and Boris and jumped on top of their shoulders. "Timothy! what was that for?" Alice yelled, but before Timothy could answer she heard laughing from behind. "It makes Lint laugh when I try to do a circus trick." Timothy said jumping off, then turned to the group. "race you!" he yelled and darted down the hallway with the other kids following him.
