Old Friends

The group continued to walk through the long wind hallway until they got to the docks where there were two boats. Allison said that the ships can't handle that many people, so they split into two groups. Allison started both of them and took the lead through the ink river. The ships were able to last until they got to another dock that looked like a little village, yet something felt wrong about that village and the kids could sense it. "um, Henry why are these Lost Ones looking like they're dead?" Lint asked getting off the boat. "i don't know but if the Ink demon took Sammy then Sammy might attack us." Henry said stepping up to an entrance that said "No Monsters" then Sammy started to whack at the boards that were blocking the entrance yelling stuff that none of the kids could understand. The kids tried to help Henry and the other adults, but Henry told the kids to stay hidden. Lorra tried to back up in a house that was far away from the fight but she had accidentally touched a Lost One, but instead of a gently yellow glow she seemed to have shocked the Lost One with yellow sparks. "uh, that Lost One is dead, why didn't your powers do the glow instead?" Timothy said poking the Lost one that was now on the floor. "I-I don't know but I think my powers only work on certain creatures." Lorra said then Lint yelled "But Sammy is like a Lost One without a face!" then Lint remembered that Sammy was someone once, then ran out of the house.

when Lint reached Sammy, Lint grabbed Sammy's arm and took off his mask. His strange powers didn't seem to have much effect but Lint wasn't going to give up. "Sammy, you're not the demon's prophet, you're Sammy Lawrence! My dad, remember? it's me Lint Polk." Lint yelled with tears falling down his face. Lint closed his eyes pulling Sammy into a hug, but Sammy seemed either too shocked or confused to hug Lint back. Timothy started to walk near Sammy who didn't seem to remember him either, so Timothy put a hand on Sammy's shoulder, sadly Timothy and Lint's powers weren't enough to help Sammy. Until Lorra joined and strange colors surrounded them.

when the colorful glow died down, Sammy hugged Lint very tight and kept apologizing for what had happened earlier, but everyone forgave Sammy quickly. Lint smiled as he was falling asleep on Sammy's shoulder. "I missed you dad." he whispered which Sammy heard. "I knew you were something to me Lint, so I missed you too." and Lint fell asleep.

Have some idea about my story? Comment it and let me know.

this might have gave me tears when Lint and Sammy were saying that they missed each other.
