"I'm not trying to change your mind, I'm just letting you know that hot guys cheat a lot."

"That's not true," Ann rejected the statement her roommate just made.

That really wasn't true, if you ask me. I mean, all the girls I've dated, I never cheated on any of them.

"You are just blinded by his pretty eyes so bad, that's why you think it's not true." I heard Lily.

Lily thought I had pretty eyes? When did she ever look into them to know that?

"Oh now I know what this is about," Ann folded her arms. "You think he has pretty eyes huh?"

"I mean, he does, it's pretty obvious."

"Don't notice his pretty eyes, that's for me to do. Don't look at him even, if possible. Forget about him, he's my boyfriend now so delete every fantasy you've made up about him in your mind."

"Okay, yes, maybe I kinda want to, you know..."

"Don't say it," Ann warned her.

"Listen to me, maybe I'd have liked to fuck him but my advise is prettyyy genuine, this is not me trying to change your mind about him so I could..."

"Lily!"

"Sorry, I won't say it again."

"He's my boyfriend now, put that in your memory."

"Are you sure you don't want me to test him and see if he would cheat?"

"Okay, sorry again." Lily scooped a spoon of her dish into her mouth like to stop her from blurting any more rubbish, she sat.

It went quiet between them, so I walked out of the short hallway like I just finished now.

"Jerry," Ann smiled when she saw me. I looked at her roommate and she was gawking at me. It felt so weird to know that she wanted to have something with me.

"Uhmm, before you leave, let me introduce you officially to my roommate so she KNOWS," Ann put a stress on her last word like to tell her roommate something.

"Lily, Jerry and I are now dating, he's my boyfriend and I'm his girlfriend." She put her arms around my torso, hugging me as she spoke, her head resting on my chest.

"Oh wowwww," Lily said like Ann hadn't told her before."Congratulations to you two, I guess." She added before putting another spoon in her mouth where she sat.

"I should be going now," I told Ann after there came an awkward silence.

"Yeah, let me see you out." Ann said following me outside the apartment. After I closed the door behind me, she stood on her toes to try and kiss me but her attempt failed. It made me snort out a laugh through my nostrils.

I decided to help her out, circling my arms around her small waist and lifting her a little so she could kiss me like she wanted.

"I know I'm short but don't laugh," She pouted after our lips separated, making me laugh more.

"You not short per say, you are average, I'm just the one who's taller." I tried to make her feel good.

"Liar," She said with a smile and hugged me. I could feel her nose against my shirt as she sniffed me.

"I wish you were the first guy I ever dated," She said after a while of not letting me go. I kept mute, I didn't know what to say.

"Should I drive you back?" She asked after my silence, lifting her fave and looking up at me.

"Nah, it's fine." I told her.

"It's looks really dark outside, probably past 7," She said to convince me to agree to her driving me back to my lodge.

"More reason why you shouldn't drive me back, Ann."

"Why? Because I am a girl?"

WOAH. I did not expect her to ask that.

"No." I responded as quick as I could.

"I used to sneak out from home to go to parties after 1am," She told me to prove that she could go out at nights.

"Okay," I chuckled."I can return to my lodge myself, please stay back here, not because you are a girl, just because I can go back myself and don't need a ride," I felt the need to make that very clear to her hearing.

"Alright alright," I heard her and sighed with relief."But I don't want you to go."

"I'm not gonna disappear, you will see me tommorow in class."

"I know but..." She trailed off with a sigh. "I don't know why I'm been this clingy, I'm usually not like this," She stoped hugging me and folded her arms, raising her eyes to meet mine.

"It's okay to be clingy sometimes," I told her."Especially for a girl who hardly shares her feelings."

She smiled then rolled her eyes like what I said about her just now wasn't true.

"Goodnight," She bit her lips.

"Goodnight," I leaned in and placed a kiss to her right cheek.

"One more on the lips?" She pointed to her lips so I pecked her there too. A smile took over her lips again after my lips let them.

I started down the stairs while she stood there at the top and watched me. When I was near the part of the stairs where I couldn't see her anymore, I saw her wave at me before I couldn't see her again.

I was about to go up the stairs at my lodge when my phone beeped, I took it out of my pocket and saw a text from Dylan.

"Where are you????"

I put the phone back in my pocket and continued upstairs. The door to room 24B opened after my first knock.

"Where were you?" Dylan asked first thing, not even letting me in before asking. I just shoved him out of the way so I could go in.

"It's almost 9pm, Jerry." He said, closing the door and standing in front of me while I took off my shoes.

"So?" I asked him to know why he was informing me of the time.

"You are aware that the lodge's gate is closed by 9pm everyday and you're just returning now, what if they had locked the gates?"

"I would have called you to come open it for me," I shrugged.

"I can't believe you," He just shook his head before going over to his bed and laying down, pulling his blanket over his legs.

I took off my shirt and was about to get into the bathroom to shower when I heard him call.

"Jerry?"

"Yeah?"

"Jessie came looking for you," I hissed when he mentioned her name. I said nothing after he told me that, just going ahead with what I planned to do; shower.
