Introduction

It's my first day ever at school and I'm so excited! I've only ever done home-schooling, so this will be fun! The teacher says hi to everyone and tells us to sit wherever we want. I sit next to a random girl.

"Hi." I say to her. She waves and says 'hi' back. "I've never been to school before." I say.

"You didn't go to preschool?" She asks and I shake my head. "Oh, it's fun. You play with blocks and ... and get words and stuff."

"Wow." I say. "I'm Addison."

"I'm Zoey." She says back.

"Wanna be friends?"

"Everyone say your name and tell us a fun fact about yourself." The second-grade teacher says. She looks at me.

I stand up. "I'm Addison or Addie Carson and I like to draw." One by one everyone goes.

"I'm Cody Haven and I want to be an actor when I grow up." One kid says.

'Hmm, me too.' I think to myself.
