2 Weird floating widget

The next day, *Krinnggg!!!* a loud ringing woke me up.

Damn!

I grumbled.

I wonder if the world is under attack by aliens. Or is it some kind of military drill? Remembering that I didn't have an alarm clock inside my room, I touched the area of my bed near my face to search for my smartphone.

Aside from it, there's no other source of alarm that might be the cause for this noisy ringing.

My hand touched the vertically rectangular object. I pushed the on/off button using my finger, which I am mostly getting used to doing to open the light of the screen. Once the screen lit up, I forced my eyes to see it.

"….."

[AFK due to inactivity… blah blah blah!] is what greeted my eyes upon looking at the screen. It looks like I fell asleep again while playing the MOBA game I enjoyed playing.

The heck. It's another subtraction to my credit score. I feel dejected.

I squinted my eyes to lessen the hurdle of staring at the bright screen. As my eyes wandered to the upper part of my smartphone screen, I noticed the time was 9 A.M.

I didn't expect it was already this late. My face frowned. But then again, after what happened yesterday, I have no appetite to go to school today.

Hah~

I sighed.

Suddenly, "Eh?!" I noticed the ringing sound didn't stop and it was not due to my smartphone's alarm clock either.

Wait…

Then where is this noisy alarm coming from?

With that question in my mind, I pulled my body up. Now, sitting on my bed, I looked around, but there was really no alarm clock around me.

"Eh?"

I mumbled in disbelief when at that moment, I noticed something floating in front of me. The floating object in front of me resembled a floating widget in my smartphone.

What the hell is this?!

In that widget, a snoozing alarm was displayed.

I blinked my eyes, and so the floating widget in the air blinked as well. I noticed that once I closed my eyes, the floating widget in the air also disappeared. But it reappeared once I opened my eyes again.

Am I inside a VR game…?

I mumbled.

Perhaps I fell asleep while... playing?

I quickly searched for the <Log out> button but to no avail. I can't find it. I can't find the <Log out> button!?

Panic overwrote my sleepy eyes. Holy sh8! I don't want to go on an adventure to conquer all the 100 floors before I can get out of this hell.

Despite wanting to disappear yesterday, now I'm asking to spare my life today. I realized there are still more things I want to do in this life.

I suddenly realized something.

Uhm… wasn't my VR helmet broken a few days ago after I bumped into the wall because I tried to avoid the charging monster bull? Because of panic at that time, I jumped for real and ended up crashing into the wall of my room. I almost lost consciousness as a result.

Haha, sorry for being clumsy sometimes.

Then… What is this floating widget in front of me?

I tapped the <Stop > button on the floating widget in the air.

Krii—-!

The ringing stopped after tapping it.

"Oh, it works."

That surprised me.

Sigh.

I wanted to go back to sleep. But before that, I think I need to do something about this floating widget in my vision first.

However, how to get rid of it? I crossed my arms across my chest as I pondered what to do. My body began swinging from left to right like a Roly Poly Toy.

There's no <X > mark or <Close > button on it to exit it.

I stopped swinging my body and thought, 'Maybe I just need to swipe it away with my finger?' As I was about to do that, a familiar ringtone suddenly rang out.

*Ring ring ring~~*

It seems I received a call. I quickly searched for my smartphone and realized I was holding it the whole time.

"What an idiot." I cussed myself.

I frowned when I saw the caller. I can't recognize the number. I ended up accepting the call anyway.

Suddenly, the person on the opposite line spoke.

[The world is on the brink of collapse! I will send you the coordinates to your terminal. Go there and rendezvous with the agents! Come on, hurry! Failure of the mission is punishable by the law of the organization!]

"What the fvck?"

No good. I'm stunned by it.

What the hell. Is this a prank? Is this some freak who reenacts the 'mission impossible' or 'men in black' thing? Or maybe an otaku who overlapped fantasy and reality. I asked myself out of anger when suddenly the event yesterday came back to my memory.

I froze on the spot and, "…wait a minute…"

Then I started recalling what happened yesterday.

After the confession yesterday, my head was fuzzy and my heart was bleeding terribly, so I headed home directly without realizing my bag was still in the classroom and even forgot to change my outfit. I headed home while wearing the tiger costume, and because of that, a white van stopped in front of me and some men in black suits came out from it and pulled me inside.

I shouted at them, "Yamete Kudasai!" But those bastards, they forced me inside without caring about my pitiful begging.

I panic. The first thing that came to my mind was that they were part of Organ thieves. Organ thievery is a common occurrence in many countries. Their favorite targets are healthy youths and children. Since I am a healthy youth, it's not a wonder if they target me.

Once inside the van, I heard one of them shout.

"Hurry! Let's go!" The driver immediately stepped on the gas and sped up the vehicle.

I, on the other hand, tried my best to free myself from them.

But there's too many of them against one lonely me. One on each side of me and two in front of me and another two on the back. Since my strength wasn't enough to free myself from them, I used my voice to create a ruckus by shouting. However, I underestimated them. They covered my mouth and nose with a cloth. After sniffing the strong odorous substance on it, my consciousness slipped away.

After that, I woke up in an unfamiliar white room.
