The line beeped.
"Let's go back in"
I spotted a candy jar and made my way to it.
"Can I take one for someone?"
The attendant behind the counter nodded.
I dug my hand in and pulled one out.
"Grape flavour"
"Do you like sweets?"
"It's not for me"
"Don't tell me it's for Jace"
"It's to appease him. I already have a killer on my back, I can't have another on me"
"Jace does not do appeasing"
"Have you tried?"
"No and I don't want to. I always love to beat a little sense into the blocked nerves leading to his little portion of the brain"
We rode the elevator to Lena's ward floor.
Luck was on my side, Arthur or Jace was coming towards the elevator.
"Umm, hi"
The black of his eyes darkened.
"Are you back to die? Order should not be disturbed"
