Chapter 64

He had large ears that didn't grow into him, sloppy wet black curls, a deep pinkish scar that ran from his cheek over his mouth, a square face with sharp watchful brown eyes.

He knelt down and bowed to the earth in front of Jason.

"I'm in a relationship" his voice was unsteady.

Why did he need to confess that.

"How many days?"

"Four days"

"Who would you save first, me or her?" Jason's cold voice made me think about the situation twice.

"Her, my Lord" his voice was so low, I strained my ears to hear him.

Maverick moved forward holding a gun, he placed the gun to the man's head, the man closed his eyes and accepted his fate although he seemed unwilling to die

"What are you doing?" I placed my hand under the gun nozzle.

"Selene" Jason's tone had a hint of warning.

Maverick moved the gun away.

"Why was he about to be shot?"

"He committed treason" Maverick explained.
