Chapter 37

Lena tugged on my collar after they had left.

Car tires squealing sounded in a distance.

"You're fearless. I almost pissed in my pants with the look he gave me at that distance"

"I think you did well"

She looked at me for long.

"I know, my eyes are red, it's because I cried"

"Why?"

"Kelvin's the cause. Don't tell him, he won't want to leave if I'm feeling insecure, I'll find a way to deal with it"

She nodded, I guess rehearsing with Jason did do something, though I hated to lie to Lena.

She looked at me then sighed and turned away but then she looked again.

Lena was the type that couldn't contain her curiosity, I was slightly better than her, slightly.

"What?" I asked prompting her to say what was on her mind.

"Are you..." She trailed off, I guess she couldn't bring herself to ask.

"Am I what?"

"Are you and Mafia Jason..."

I knew what she wanted to ask but I wanted to hear it for myself.
