14 Chapter 14: Blue Coral Elixir

A beautiful lady in hanfu then brought the wooden tray displaying an intimidating golden box. As she opened the box, there was a small wooden bottle which contains the root elixir.

The Auctioneer points her stares at the audience and made her announcement with a proud smile, "Ladies and gentlemen, the next item to be auction is the root elixir. This root elixir is very beneficial to the martial arts beginner. The elixir is supernatural on its own after ingesting, it will flow to the meridian of the body making it's root strong giving you a stable and strong foundation. The Auction starts now, make your bids! Our price is ten thousand gold taels"

Upon seeing the Elixir some of the audience got excited and some felt bad as the price was too costly to afford.

Discovering the elixir Xulan commented on it, "Damn! This is good. I want to buy one for myself only if I have the taels!"

Xialin murmur to herself amusingly, "Ten thousand gold taels?! Tsk! Xialin you fool! What are you thinking back then?! You should have stolen it!!"

Xulan curiously gazed at his little sister's conduct and asked in curiosity, "Hmmm!??! Meimei! What are you reciting about?!"

Xialin fake a smiled and ignored his words, "Ah! It's nothing....nothing!"

Yutao then assured Xulan, "Xulan, I have extra root elixir at my place. You can have one"

Intimidated by it, Xulan humbly rejects Yutao's offer, "No. Yutao, I cannot take it. Keep it for yourself"

Yutao insisted with a solemn look on his face, "Why?! I want to help. Besides that, I have ten of them. Are you sure you don't need it?!"

Xulan retorted to it gently, "Don't bother yourself with it Yutao. You already help me with much"

Yutao feeling annoyed by Xulan words, he wittily made a big fuss over it, "Why?! Aren't we a family?! Take my elixir or I won't ever come to your place!"

Seeing Yutao's behaviour Xulan smiled it off and comforted him, "Okay. okay! Mr High and mighty Yutao. I'll heed your every command"

And they both laughs.

While they were conversing the elixir was bought by a Martial Arts Master at thirty thousand gold taels. Everyone congratulate him for his win.

Soon after that, The Auctioneer rushes off to the next item with a smile on her gorgeous face, "Ladies and gentlemen this is the moment you all have been waiting for, the next item to be Auction is the blue coral elixir! This blue coral elixir is made from the essence of the nine mythical beasts by the famous Alchemist Zhang Wei. Because of it, this blue coral elixir can transform one's body. It can sustain harsh temperature, giving off a vigour spiritual qi making you able to stay young and vigorous for a long period of time. The price is 50 thousand gold taels! You may start your bid!"

Xulan tilt his head towards Yutao and stated amused, "What do you think? This blue coral elixir... Is it for real?! I heard that it is really rare to find even one blue coral elixir?!"

Yutao nods at it and replied, "We will know once we see the elixir. Its creator Alchemist Zhang Wei is said to stay hidden from the world. He didn't show his bare face to anyone. I wonder how they get their hands on him. Tch! This Eagle bandit I underestimate them. If the blue coral elixir is fallen on to the wrong hands, it might cause us huge misfortune!"

Xulan adds his remarks on it, "That powerful?! We should seize it then!"

Yutao confronted to it, "Only if the reinforcement arrives in time it'll make things easier for us otherwise we have to make the bid!"

After she attends to their words, Xialin became distracted for a moment, 'The blue coral elixir?!'

She then turned and asked her brother Xulan, "Ge, The blue coral elixir... Is it blue in colour?!"

Yutao asked in curiousness, "Why? Did you see it?"

Xialin curiously looks up to her sleeves and took out the small wooden box. She then showed it to them and expressed in bewilderment, "I....thought it was looking cool so....ammm. I kept it to myself"

Xulan upon seeing it glared at Xialin and questioned unbelievably, "Meimei! Did you really steal the elixir?!"

Xialin nervously replied to it, "Aha ha ha. Who said I steal it?! I just borrow it to keep it for some time umm...!"

Yutao upon observing it spoke up in excitement, "Wait! This is it! This is the blue coral elixir! It's our fortune that you have it. We can't let them have it. Quick hide it! Let's get out from here!"

Xialin hurriedly put it back inside her sleeves.

Xulan was left troubled by it all. He couldn't believe his eyes.

Seeing both of them acting out of their usual self he clamoured out in tension, "Wait....!! What??!!!!"

The two of them was so ready to move out from there that Xulan just gave in to it, "Tsk! Whatever! Let's get out from here!"

The three of them soon moved out of the crowd.

On the other sides, the Eagle bandit had realized that the blue coral elixir has gone missing. Therefore, they quickly gave the order, "Quick catch the bride slave!".

Heeding to the order, a swarm of Eagle bandit immediately rushes towards the Audience.

They gather around and search the audience one by one making the whole crowd turns into a big chaos. Everyone started chattering over it, "What happened?! What's going on?!"

While the three of them sneakily went towards the narrow path, one of the guards caught his attention on them. The guard immediately notified with it, "Quick! They are heading towards the exit!"

The swarm of guards rushed towards them and immediately launched the attack.

Xulan and Yutao immediately drew their swords and charged in giving their all, they fend off the guards.

Yutao soon noted to Xialin with a heavy breath, "Xialin no matter what don't let them have it!"

Xulan and Yutao fight fiercely with all their might on their way towards the exit. One by one the members of the black eagle bandits were killed but still, their number outnumbered them. The Eagle bandit members kept on increasing.

Just when they are about to exit from the cave one of the bandits draw his sword aiming at Xialin's neck. Xulan immediately pulls out Xialin and clashes it off, while he was fending it off another sword instantly draws in piercing in right through Xulan's chest. Xulan cried out in deep anguished, he immediately drops his sword and fall down on to his knees.

Xialin shredded with fear immediately rushed and caught Xulan's body. She cried out with teary eyes in awe unable to gulp down the reality. There was a pool of Xulan's fresh red blood flowing on to the ground. A moment of stillness was lingering around Xialin. Her mind went into a total blankness and went berserk. She was unable to figure out what to do. Her fragile body shakes in nervousness as she hold Xulan's heart trying to stop the blood flow.

Feeling vulnerable and scared as she was unable to do anything to save her brother, she cried out in pain, "Gege! Hang on! You can't die yet! Hang.....on! You can't die"

Yutao's immediately drops his sword on the ground and kneeled. He surrendered at that spot. His miserable gazed watched on Xulan's body which was lying on the ground.

The three of them were caught at the exit.

Surrounded by the eagle bandits from all sides, they kneeled and hold Xulan's body.

Just as the eagle bandit was about to make their move on Xialin. She insanely took out the blue coral elixir and put it inside her mouth and gulped it down. She then cried out in wrath, "Since you want it so much! Kill me and take it!"

Everyone gaped in shocked as she took in the blue coral elixir.

The eagle bandit upon seeing it immediately drew their sword attempting to slice Xialin's throat.

With it, a sudden arrow clashes onto the sword making the sword to fall down from the bandit's grip. After that a number of arrows were shot from afar exterminating the eagle bandits one by one.

Upon seeing it, Xialin immediately turned with her teary eyes and found that it was the reinforcement. It arrived at the nick time. The whole of the bandit was left surrounded by the reinforcement, some of them were killed and some were captured alive.

Xialin's nervously clenched Xulan's body and cried in wretched, "Gege hang there. We'll take you to the physician. We'll save you. Hang there"
