Nightmare

Emily's POV

        I just realized that I'm embarrassing myself in front of the Captain. I saw Erwin and Levi chuckled at me.

        "w- what is doing here?!" I asked Erwin as my face start to heat up.

        "Oh he's here to discuss something about you." Erwin answered.

         I literally forgot about the while embarrassment and asked him, "WHAT ARE YOU GUYS TALKING ABOUT?!" I asked them shouting.

         "We were talking about how you being second in command in Squad Levi." Erwin said.

         "Well I think I already discussed enough with your brother. I'll be taking my leave then, it seems that you missed him so much that I feel bad for intruding." Levi said.

         "Nu-uh! You're not leaving until you promise me something." I said.

         "What is it brat?" He said.

         "You're not telling anyone about what just happened. Or else-" I got cut off by him.

         "Like anyone would listen to me." He said and left.

         "Erwin! Why didn't you tell me to wait outside!" I sulked at him.

         "Sorry sorry! I just wanted to let you in because it's about you." He said while apologizing.

         "I won't be mad at you since you're my brother and I love you. But I came here to ask you for advice." I said.

(A/N) I forgot to tell you that she had a bad insomnia like. No one else knew this accept her brother. I will write the back story and how she got it.

       "Is it about the dream again?" Erwin asked.

       "Yeah... It came back. I don't know what to do... I'm going on an expedition tomorrow. I'm scared that I might get distracted by this." I told him.

Levi's POV

I didn't left when I got out of his office, instead I decided to eavesdropping.

      What is wrong with me? Why would I be concerned about her? She doesn't have anything to do with me.

      I listened for a little bit when things got serious in Erwin's voice. So I decided to stay for a little bit longer.

      "Yeah... It came back. I don't know what to do... I'm going on an expedition tomorrow. I'm scared that I might get distracted by this." She said slightly concerned in her voice.

      Once she finished talking, I decided to leave because it's their privacy.

Emily's POV

       "Please Erwin... You have to help me..." I said as tears began to form in my eyes.

        He then got up from his seat and embraced me in his huge arm. I felt safe... but it still can't stop me from remembering about everything.

*Flashback*

I sat there...  looking at what was about to happen. My legs gave up. I didn't know what to do. She got killed... My best friend.

      I was visiting her at shiganshina when the wall was breached. I blamed myself for everything. I didn't helped her. I just watched her getting eaten by the Titan. I was helpless... worthless... I didn't deserve to be her friend. Why would such things happen? It was supposed to be me? Why? Why did you saved me?

*Flashback ends*

      I was crying. Remembering everything clear as a day. I felt like it happened just yesterday. I felt safe in my brother's arm. He made me feel safe. So I want to be strong and keep him safe. I know he doesn't need me, but I don't want to lose another person in my life.

      "Shhh... It's okay now... I'm here." Erwin comforted me.

      I just cried there and hug him tightly.

*TIME SKIP BY THE TITAN THAT KILLED EREN'S MOM*

    I woke up. Breath heavily and sweating. I was panicking. It was 12 PM. I didn't get much sleep, it's only had been 2 hours if sleep.

    I got out of bed and changed into my white shirt and a brown pants. I left my room and got out to take some air. I decided to run around for a minute and take a breather or getting myself tired before going back to bed. I just kept on running and running. I just want to get my mind off the nightmare. It bothers me.

     I guess I was too tired that I began breathing heavily, my eyes were really heavy and my legs is about to give up on me. Then I saw darkness.

Levi's POV

     I can't sleep again. I want to make myself a black tea and enjoy it outside. After making my tea, I saw someone running around the field. It looks like a girl and she looks really tired. I decided to just watch her for a little moment. She suddenly fell and I ran up to her to check if she's okay.

    It was really dark outside but I manage to see her face by the moonlight. It was Emily... she was sweating a lot and she's still breathing. So I took a guess that she was just tired.

*Time skip by the cleaning freak*

Emily's POV

    I woke up looking around the room. It was still dark. I look at the clock to see it was only 4 AM in the morning. I manage to sleep such a long time. I look around again just to see someone was seating on the couch while sleeping. I take a look closely and see Captain Levi was there and I realized that it was not my room.

     I got up slowly and trying to get to the door to leave for my room. When I heard, "Brat, what are you doing?" I turned around to see Levi's awake.

     "I uhh... I'm just going to return to my room..." I said.

     "Just sleep here. I wouldn't mind a company anyway." He said.

     "Okay? But where are going to sleep?" I asked him.

     "Brat you don't have to worry about me. Just go back to sleep." He said.

      I just nodded and go back to bed. It was completely silent and he suddenly asked me, "You having trouble sleeping?"

      "How did you know?" I asked him.

      "I saw you running around the field, so I figured you can't sleep." He said.

      "Yeah..." I said.

      Complete silence. It's awkward. Really awkward.

       He then get up and leave. I asked him, "Where are you going?" "Oho, now you want me to stay?" He asked with a smirk on his face.

        I really want to slap that smirk out of his face. "I'm going to the kitchen to make some tea." He then answered.

        I just nodded and yawn. I think I dozed off for a minute until he got back inside the room with two cups of tea. He put it on the small table besides the bed. "Drink it if you still can't sleep." He said.

         I simply said okay and drink it. He start asking me questions, "Why can't you sleep?" "It's kinda... personal." I said.

         I finished my cup of tea and look at the clock. It was already 5:15 AM. "Just sleep, I'll wake you up." He said.

         He's being so sweet... And caring... WAIT WHAT?! OKAY I'M OUT OF MY MIND. I'm just gonna close my eyes.

Levi's POV

I saw her start to move around the bed, sweating and trembling. I got up and sat down besides her and said, "It's alright, you're safe." then I kissed her forehead.

      I blushed on my own. What is wrong with me?
