Still no sound from Becca. She hadn't spoken much to Tommy at all except about work. And seeing the difference, Tommy became even more curious about what had happened to her.

 When office hours were over, he grabbed Becca's hand and pulled her into his office. "Did I do something wrong?"

 "Why do you feel like you did something wrong?" Becca asked, looking normal.

 "I'm just asking. Did I do something wrong?"

 "Well, what do you think? Did you do me wrong?"

 Tommy immediately fell silent. He looked into Becca's eyes, seeing the sadness in them that he had seen before.

 "If you don't feel that way, don't bother me," Becca said later. She came out of his office and closed the door hard enough to hear a vibration.

 Tommy then put his hands on his hips, paced back and forth in his office and hurriedly grabbed his things, and followed Becca.

 "Where are you going?" asked Tommy when he saw Becca at Cherry's side.
